An absolute must visit. This was the most delightful lunch I have ever had. And I eat out a lot :) It was an absolutely perfect wine to food pairing. Everything was so delicious and delicate without being pretentious. The small unique space makes you feel like you are in a tiny magical getaway while also feeling like you are at right at home. Kristen and the Måurice staff were so genuine and attentive and it was the best ending to our wonderful foodie trip. Thank you for loving what you do, we could feel it! The food was like a warm hug xo

What a great little place! The two of us had lunch there yesterday - it was a fabulous 7 course prix-fixe experience, combining elements of Norwegian cooking with French flavorings and combinations. Hard to pick the best - possibly the duck confit, but the lefse starter was also divine. Little dishes, each of them bursting with flavor. We also invested in the wine pairing, and were treated to a wide array of interesting wines - a sweet and tart sparkling wine from Slovenia, a very nice cider, a lovely South African cinsault, and more. Not inexpensive of course, but if you have a few hours to spend for a meal in Portland, this is an excellent investment of time and taste!PS: Even their name is a great Norwegian-French fusion: the circle over the A is a common diacritic added to A in Norwegian, and Maurice is a lovely French name.

They have transitioned to accommodate the changing business climate and this is a winner. Lovely meal with seven plates thoughtfully presented. So beautiful and comfortable - and delicious!

I haven't seen any reviews for the Maurice Table 22 experience, and there was no menu posted online when I ordered, so I wanted to give honest information about this to prevent others from having the disappointment we did. The food in the photo was what we were delivered for the "Curated MÅURICE Experience" for 2 people. This was $120, not including delivery. In case you are wondering about scale: the quiche is 7" across.

Traveled with 5 relatives from all over US and Canada last Friday. First stop in Portland was Maurice and we were given a table by the window. Brightly lit restaurant, walls are white, they use cloth napkins and heavy silverwares. Casual yet elegant. We ordered a variety of tea and Robert brought in 6 different pots for all of us. Plates were just the right size. Food was flavorful and nicely presented. We didn't realize that we went beyond their closing time yet we were never felt rushed, they had smiles every time they brought in something from the "back". Open kitchen style so we could see the Chef and staff working. Bathroom is clean and interesting. It also became a piece of our conversation. Won't reveal it here, you have to see it for yourself. Robert and the other lady, sorry forgot her name, introduced different goodies. They also offered to take a picture of our group outside their restaurant. 5 star!

It’s the details that matter. Subtle details and intricacies abound, which are reflected in the way food is made here! Had a phenomenal light lunch and ordered a host of very peculiar and diverse pastries, a delicious orange wine from the area, and the claimed to fame Quiche. All were praiseworthy in their own right. Definitely worth a stop for lunch. Minimal wait. The service was great too!Hint: Order the honey teacake, the black pepper cheesecake, the pear tart, or the plum brioche. All spectacular.

Stop at this wonderful sidewalk cafe. They have the best open-face sandwiches and wines. This is a French/Scandinavian food cafe. It is locally sourced food and has some very original items on the menu.

Maurice was one of my favorite finds when we were visiting Portland. The lady who took our order was very friendly and the food was great. I would highly recommend their version of a chicken pot pie and the black pepper cheesecake and lemon souffle were delicious!

you have to eat outside and not many tables are prepared. food is delicious! I really enjoyed a fruit tart
