Barbecue Food Trucks Tacos

Amazing! Truly, great meat cuts and all cooked perfectly. Wonderful little food truck station with nice outdoor and indoor seating. Great service. And the tortillas... Truly worth the trip for the tortillas. They could put just about anything on those and it'd be amazing.

My favorite part of my first meal here was the pork belly taco: truly a delicious and amazing taco, the meat was smoky and tasty and the bbq sauce was sweet and thick. My breakfast sausage taco was pretty meh, I didn't get much flavor from it, and the cheeseburger taco tasted fairly average as well but the novelty of having a dish that tasted exactly like one thing (burger) but shaped/presented like another (taco) was fun. My partner also had some tacos and queso that I tried -- the queso was mild and the brisket was like "smoky burnt pillow" as my partner described it (I had some too and can't say I disagree). Our chips were pretty stale as well. I am not sure if I would come back for anything but the pork belly taco tbh.

Turns out Portland does have legit queso, after all.Top notch +++

Came around 10:30am right before they stop serving breakfast tacos at 11am. Relatively empty and only took about 10 minutes to get my tacos. Drinks are ordered at the bar, and I got an iced cold brew -no iced coffee available. The flour tortillas were thick and on the small-ish side but definitely had plenty of filling inside. I really liked the brisket breakfast taco and reminded me of tacos back home in Texas. The migas taco was a little soggy but I enjoyed it especially with the green salsa. Overall, definitely going to be a regular breakfast taco place for me and would bring friends here for a casual breakfast before a weekend hike or outing!

Matt’s BBQ tacos are not only the best tacos I’ve had in Portland but also the best BBQ ?

Wowee!! The breakfast tacos are too good!!! All of them I can’t decide!

Matt's cart (and sterling reputation) have moved to the recently opened Hinterland pod on SE 50th. I suspect that the pod's covered seating and central bar service will work out very well for them.Ordering can be done online, or via a pseudo online touchscreen attached to the cart - I suspect that this is good for keeping up with demand, as well as being an effective pandemic protocol. As for the food (finally!), it was well worth the wait for my first visit. Choosing somewhat randomly from the menu, I went with a Pulled Pork taco, as well as the Beef Supremo. If a fast food item was redesigned and made with actual quality ingredients, you'd get the Beef Supremo. This was a fascinating exercise, but it was the Pulled Pork that will bring me back - the pork came with guacamole and pickled onions that proved to cap it off perfectly.Matt's tacos are truly special.

One of the only places in Portland where I’ve felt the quality punches way above the price. I had the Brisket taco and Pork Belly taco and they were amazing. Have the option to swap the flour tortillas for corn tortillas to make gluten free! Be prepared to wait a while but it is worth it. The tacos were so good I wanted to eat more but didn’t want to overeat so I’ll be back soon.

The greatest fusion of bbq and street tacos that has ever touched my lips. Just go, take your partner, kids, grandmother, or even a lost friend in need of rekindling. These tacos will do that. I have gone 5 out of 7 days this week.

My nine year old gives reviews of each of the three they ordered:1. Migas“I just ate the ‘magas’ and it was delicious”…. You mean migas ..? ?2. “That was the basic breakfast one, oooo potatoes so good!”3. Pulled pork breakfast: “it’s okay, I wouldn’t get it again but I’ll eat it”Their favorites in order: Basic breakfast, migas, pulled pork breakfast. My (mom’s) review is: PULLED PORK BREAKFAST IS THE BOMB DOT COM and migas is a close second. Will be back!
