Ordered a Death by Sushi, Kaarage, and a Kenzo rolls, along with a few drinks. This is hands down one of the best sushi places I have had the opportunity to dine in. The fish was fresh and refreshing and the restaurant has bold flavors that have you wanting to come back for more. This restaurant is easily my top contender in Portland and I'm excited to come back during my next trip.
This was our first time at Masu, but it won't be our last. Service was great, very friendly, and the food was delicious! We started with gyoza and karage, a couple of specialty rolls and Hamachi negiri. Yumm!
The rolls are amazing and we loved the space.
The prices were pretty high compared to similar places in Seattle. The food was excellent. 1st class sashimi. Our server was inexperienced both in Japanese food and serving. Really nice guy, but didnât know what he was representing from sake to plates and he wasnât afraid to try (poorly) to suggest he might. Iâve been here many times (preCovid). The benchmark for this place and its cost is knowledgeable wait staff. Itâs part of the experience. I donât blame the server; he wasnât given the tools. Thereâs no challenge (particularly now) in having a new person. Throwing them to the wolves is a management problem.

I really love the atmosphere at Mash Sushi. Their rolls are delicious and super fresh. The Kenzo Roll and the Shiso Fine cocktail are my favorites! Both are totally refreshing. Itâs a bit expensive, but with sushi you get what you pay for. Itâs worth it! Our waiter was also really nice.

Great experience! Our Server was fantastic. We told her she needed roller skates as she was clearly hustling for us and other clients at the same time⦠Food was delicious ! Great night!!
We had a reservation and had to wait 30 mins to be taken to our table. Seemed like multiple other groups were also seated after their time slot. Once we were at the table, service was good and food was good though.
