Lucca is one of our favorite restaurants anywhere. The kids menu is a winner. The regular menu is truly working with what's local and fresh. The staff are great. They hung in through COVID and we're so happy they did. We have to exercise restraint around the fall when tomatoes and peaches are both in season to not go every weekend. Don't miss the peach pizza when it's available (always with an egg).
Excellent restaurant, amazing food and tge service is the best. Highly highly recommend it!!

Unfortunately, I have to give Lucca 1 star. (I'd give them 0 if possible) not for the food or the service, both are impeccable. But for requiring proof of vaccination to eat at their restaurant. Even now after all the mandates have been lifted. Even now that the data shows there is little to no efficacy in the covid vaccine.I have a vaccine card but that was my choice. Those who chose not to get vaccinated should not be discriminated against.
One of the best brick oven pizza in town. Must try. Unfortunately no more happy hours and we understand it. However, totally worth trying their recipes. I visited 2x and looking forward to more visits with friends and family.
First time back since Covid hit. I'm so glad we went! This is our favorite place in all of Portland! The way it makes me feel is what I love about it! Amazing food and drinks! Excellent service! Lucca is the pinnacle of casual sophistication. Go and simply soak in the true feeling of Portland neighborhoods.
Very conceited staff. Food was small portioned, and the high cost was more memorable than the taste. This place also takes it upon themselves to be the COVID card police. Too many hoops to jump through... Won't be back.
Was not special like ut was suppose to be. Husbands birthday. Made reservations for 5. Not very busy. Put our order in at 5:05. Dinner came out at 45 minutes later. Waitress knew the the parties that came. 3 tables came way after ys and all got served before us. My Bolognese was tasty...all 2 tablespoons. My husband's steak was delish and cooked properly. We have cone here for years on special occasions. Not so special.
Always a special occasio when we go. Tonight was a big disappointment. The waitress never asked if we wanted bread. The brussel sprouts were cold. We were the first party to sit down and the last to get our dinner. 55 minutes. Was never asked how everything was. Never asked if I wanted black pepper or cheese on my 2 tablespoons maybe 3 of pasta bolagnese. My husband dinner was delish. Service was all around not impressive. Been coming here for many years. :(
Nice wine selection, fabulous appetizers, kinda "meh" on the dinner. Not bad at all but also wasn't amazing. Service was excellent and we'll be back on that alone.
