It was a different tea experience, but enjoyable. The food was nice. There is a time limit and you need to have reservations. I loved the decor. Nice selection of teas. No parking and parking was a hassle due to the location and there primarily being resident parking, which residents were very possessive of like Bostonians during a snow storm as they don’t have driveways. The rudeness of the neighbors made the experience a little stressful as they literally wanted to Karen or fight you for a space. I wish they had parking so customers could avoid this.

A feast! Everything was tasty and I was pleasantly surprised by how absolutely stuffed I was by the end! Though the place doesn't look like much, we enjoyed our outdoor table in the shade and thought the mismatched China was fun. I also liked that you can purchase the teas and some desserts we tried! We had the white peach tea, sticky rice pu-erh, milk oolong, and black currant - and the sticky rice pu-erh was definitely a winner! Food was tasty and abundant, also plenty of options for vegetarians and sweet tooths alike!Staff was lovely and helpful. I would come back again, but only for special events because $50 is quite the cost for the more casual vibes of the place.

Lovejoy's Tea Room is a delightful taste of England right here in Portland!Having enjoyed tea in many places around the world, I have to say that Lovejoy's is among the most delightful, relaxing, and enjoyable experiences we've had in a long time. The staff is terrific, as they are attentive without being intrusive; the teas we both chose were absolutely fantastic (I recommend the chestnut tea); and every bite of the royal tea was absolutely wonderful. They even brought a special little cupcake with candle for my wife's birthday! An absolutely perfect experience, and we most certainly will visit again....and again. (grin)

Surprised my husband with a trip to Lovejoy’s a few years ago and we both fell in love. He is a big tea drinker and was so impressed with the selection here. Our daughter recently organized a Bachelorette party here for 20 guests. As always the service was impeccable. Everyone was blown away with all the high tea snacks. My favorite is always the crumpets with lemon curd and the scones. All the fruit was also very good. Lovejoy’s really made this a special day for the bride-to-be and all the guests.Kudos! We are forever customers!

There are several LoveJoys in Oregon, but this is my favorite, the best crumpets (fresh made English muffins) you will every have (and yes I have traveled in the UK) plus a most wonderful diverse staff of colorful characters - beautiful experience every time.

My niece treated me to high tea. It was fabulous. We had so much fun! The food and tea were delicious. I'm definitely going back.

My mom and I went to tea today! Considering that there are not many British tea cafes around the Portland Vancouver area anymore, I'm glad that the love joy tea room is still in operation! ?I had my favorite, Yorkshire Gold, which was delicious as always! Those who make reservations have a "reserved for royalty" sign placed on their table and you are given a specific high tea menu that covers all the delicious goodies you will be getting. The high tea included the following:For our sandwiches we had a pear and creamy cheese sandwich and a curry styled egg salad sandwich (this was amazing). The scone we got was a vanilla blueberry scone with clotted cream and fresh jam. You also get freshly made crumpets which you spread with delicious lemon curd spread! And for desserts we were given a pistachio macron, a herb-like but sweet shortbread cookie, and a very delicious petit four cake I believe had a sort of orange flavoring to it.All in all the staff was very friendly and gave us great service. They also offered milk alternatives and options for those who eat vegan foods.

I had such an amazing time with my dad and Sister. It’s the perfect cozy spot to enjoy time with people. Trenton was such a delightful server and we adore him! We will definitely be back soon!!! Also, my dad said the scones were the best he’s had. Thank you for a wonderful Saturday with my family Lovejoy’s!

After years of going to the Lovejoy Tea Room and taking many friends there for birthday celebrations, I took my cousin for tea and was shocked to find their normally fabulous menu gone and replaced with what was called a Royal Tea with just two sandwich choices both of which were not choices I would ever choose. I am not a fan of curry or chutney and that is all that was offered. On top of that, the price has gone up to $45 which is fine if you have a choice of what you eat but I don’t want to pay that much for something I don’t care for. After asking for other options, our server finally brought the take out menu and I was able to order a petite tea for $20 but again there was only one sandwich choice. I’m very disappointed that they have decided to reduce the menu so drastically. I totally understand they want to reduce waste and cut costs but I wish they were able to offer more than two sandwich choices and perhaps bring back the Ploughman’s lunch for those who don’t care for the traditional teas. I will really miss coming here as it was my go to place for all special occasions but with this limited menu, I won’t be coming back. Hopefully one day they will add some more menu items back and if that happens, I will definitely be back. I hope so!

Wow! This place is awesome!!! We went for our first time today and everything was amazing. The salad was fresh & the dressing was so good. The scones were AMAZING (I’m still thinking about them), the crumpets were the best I’ve ever had & the sandwiches & desserts were both so good. The teas were also very good. Service was great. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back! Highly recommend!!!
