My food was good but I paid the extra for a double portion and honestly it looked like I just got the same amount as my fiance and cousin who got the single. Kinda felt like they shafted me. Also $3 for a 12 ounce can of Coke? You can barely Belize it.
I am so glade this place survived the pandemic and desertification of downtown. I just went for lunch with colleagues and it's still as good as before. Good the double chicken plate with mild habanero sauce (still has a good kick) - it was delicious and all my colleagues really loved it!
Absolutely delicious food and friendly service! Short wait, but well worth it. Ordered the two piece and will enjoy the leftovers! Looking forward to visiting again!
This little gem is great! The chicken is super tender and spiced good enough to not need any of the array of hot sauces! Rice is good and meal comes with a salad. Sauces can get extremely hot so don't go overboard the first time out.. they recommend original and prickly pear which was just enough heat and flavor. Staff was very pleasant, customers were steady coming through the door and they were friendly with them all. Great food and I fully recommend giving them a try.
The menu has only 4 items but that is okay. I tried Belizean chicken (single) $11 (as of April 2022) and it was really good! It was a well-balanced entry; you get chicken, rice, and fresh salad. Sauces are interesting. I think they are listed on the menu from the least spicy to the spiciest. I tried "prickly pear" and absolutely loved it. It was def prickly but refreshing.
1st time ordering takeout as I've heard great reviews from my hubby... ordered double chicken plate (large portions included rice & beans and salad) - so excited to eat that I forgot to take a pic of it. The artwork in the resto is amazing.
Best Caribbean cuisine, it was tasty and they give option of two free sauces and I had Caribbean heat and it was really hot.
This place has incredible food at a great price! And the salsas are perfect. They're on the side and actually spicy and tasty! I will be bringing friends here for sure!
I can't vouch for the authenticity of the place because I am unfamiliar with Belizean cuisine, but I do know that the perfectly done chicken with rice and a arugula salad was the ultimate zen lunch.
This place was incredible! They have a variety of house made habanero sauces... the prickly pear cannot be missed! We will be back!
