Oh my goodness… the bacon spinach skillet is to die for and the side salad is one of the best I’ve had in a long time!! Definitely worth a stop, get there right when they open to score a table! Bit of a line at 10 on Friday AM.
My biscuit sandwich was really tasty! My egg was fried hard and I really enjoyed the unique flavors with the pepper jam. I shared some of the pancake which was also good! The coffee was good and refilled often! The server was friendly and efficient! The place is small so we had to wait about 30 minutes, but I enjoyed wandering around in the neighborhood stores.
PHENOMENAL. I wish everyone could eat here during their time on Portland. Not only was the vibe friendly, but the wait staff and quality of food was beyond what I imagined. They have gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options which is to be expected for Portland but they don't upcharge or ask if it's an allergy or preference.... They just make amazing food with all parameters regardless. We got breakfast skillets, but I saw the beenedicts and sandwiches and they looked amazing. Can't wait to come back!Tip: Call ahead to get on the wait-list! Expect the wait to be about 30minutes. They use Yelp and keep a very organized situation.
Great little place to get breakfast or brunch. We met with family, and we all enjoyed it.My wife had the Country Benedict, and I had the Shakshouka!Really great, I loved the Irish Coffee, and we recommend it.It was our first time, so I highly recommend make a reservation or of a spontaneous decision to go, be patient as there might be a wait on the weekend, but well worth the wait.
Today was my first time at Little Griddle and I had an amazing experience. The restaurant is small and cozy, lots of great art and amazing plants. The food was absolutely delicious, the shakshuka was to die for. I appreciate the owner for checking up on us after we had waited a bit for our food. It was definitely worth the wait and more. I cannot recommend this place enough! Great food, great people, great atmosphere. Can’t wait to be back soon.
What a pleasant surprise this little neighborhood breakfast joint turned out to be. My bacon, cheddar with wilted spinach and leeks was absolutely delicious. And the house salad that accompanied it had the most spectacularly flavorful dressing. I'll definitely be going back.
Quirky little diner. Great twist on regular dishes. Its pretty popular so there might be a wait. We had the skillet dishes. The bacon and cheddar was good, but the spinach and bacon was wo derdul just be aware it is very rich. I think its the most popular dish on the menu. Even the breakfast comes with a vibrant fresh poppysee and hazelnut salad. Surprisingly, it was my favorite part.
One of the silver linings of the pandemic is that we became hyperlocal in the businesses we support. Little Griddle does one thing - breakfast - and it. Is. Fantastic. The team there (shoutout Kelsey, Diana, Mimi!) welcome us every Sunday morning and take care of us like we're friends. The pancakes are enormous and delicious (they indulge my son's "pancake with double chocolate chips, double whipped cream, double bacon" with a smile) and the skillets and sandwiches are amazing. Among our favorites: The Truckstop, The Classic, The Kiddo, all of the skillets, anything that comes on a biscuit...you get the idea. We really cannot fathom people who have issues here. The crew here makes fantastic breakfast, always treats us well, and are super friendly. It really is a highlight of our week that we plan around as much as we can. Come have breakfast here, just not on Sunday mornings, because that's when we go ;)
What a great eating experience with great staff and scrumptious food!
Nice little restaurant tucked away on a corner. Parking was easy, and we had no wait surprisingly at 9am on a Sunday. Food was delicious and satisfying. The restaurant did fill up quickly after we ordered though. Good service.
