The banh mi pho french dip rules. Great burger too. Fries could come in smaller portion though, watch out
I think my favorite is the nashville hot chicken sandwich. Though it's not what I would call spicy at all, more sweet and savory. It's a $14 sandwich as of writing this review which seems good for what you're getting. The staff is super nice, and even though it was at about 75% capacity they got the food out in under ten minutes.
Absolutely the best sandwiches in the city of Portland!!! This is a PDX staple! If your here visiting or as a tourist GO HERE! If you have friends and family in town BRING THEM HERE!!! Oh and the craft cocktails ? are awesome here as well.
Great food, rad music. Friendly staff. This time around I ordered the Korean Pork Shoulder & the Turkey Schmeltzer. Both were fantastic. Picked up a T-shirt to cause I love me a good metal design ??
Solid place for some flavorful sandwiches & a place to grab a drink. The Korean Pork shoulder sandwich is delicious and quite filling. Can get a bit difficult to find parking nearby. Really nice location when the weather is good, as there is plenty of outdoor seating.
Limited menu, but good burger and Parm fries. Not quite a bbq menu, but decent food
I was introduced to Lardo on a Forktown Food Tour. My husband and I were recently in Portland and we went to the Lardo Lake Oswego sandwich shop for lunch. We shared the Griddled Mortadella Sandwich (thinly sliced mortadella, provolone, Mama Lil's, mustard aioli) and orders of the Mac Salad and Hush Puppies. So glad we shared the huge and delicious sandwich, and the macaroni salad and hush puppies were yummy. Looking for a sandwich shop offering unique delicious food and brews? Get yourself to Lardo's and don't forget to bring your appetite.
I was visiting from Houston. My cousin lives in Happy Valley and he took me into Portland to show me around. He mentioned Lardo’s as being a great sandwich shop. So,when he asked where I wanted to eat, I said let’s try Lardo’s. Oh My God…we ordered the Korean smoked pork shoulder with a Lardo’s fries to share. I took one bite, had a foodgasm, and thanked God for pigs. The smokiness of the meat, the kimchi, the sauce, and that fresh bread….heavenly. Those fries with the fried rosemary and other herbs on top…amazing!! Whenever I visit, Lardo’s will be my first stop!
Freaking amazing sandwiches. My "no meatball sub" (vegetarian meatballs with cheese and tomato soup on the side) was gloriously filling, messy, and soul satisfying. The Nashville hot chicken was also no joke, being a very tall and very flavorful sandwich with tangy pickles and plenty of sauce. The classic Lardo fries are just so, so good - super crispy and the perfectly level of herby, cheesy and salty. I honestly want to try every sandwich they have here. Definitely a charming joint and great for date night/hanging with friends!
Wow!!! Lardo fries are soooo good. The Nashville chicken sandwich is very good, but with their own spin. It’s honey hot , but not spicy at all. Delicious, but not spicy. It’s worth ordering ! Get an extra side of the honey hot for your fries. Highly recommend visiting !
