Maybe this was a bad night, but after eating here many times, it was a disappointment. Wait for food was overlong, even though the restaurant was not crowded. Waitstaff was surly. Chicken liver pate didn't have the Dijon mustard. Moules were fewer than previous experience. My favorite Belgian or Belgian-style beers were off the menu.

Not a value, ? Not enough moules…too many empties and the baguette was poorly toasted and cold. Very loud music.

Great service, delicious food

Food is outstanding and the service staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great date night!

Fantastic seafood in an eclectic atmosphere with great desserts.

Outstanding service, delicious mussels. Very nice ambiance, we sat outside on a warm summer night.

When arriving, we thought this place was closed. The door opens into a corner and you have to wedge yourself through right next to people eating. There is no guest staging area and honestly it looks like an old greasy spoon caffe they attempted to convert with some dark paint. Music is playing so loud and you are seated so far apart that you have to yell out short articulated bursts of conversation. The cocktails we ordered were terrible. They honestly tasted like dirty water and are priced on par with Portlands best cocktail lounges. The worst part about La Moule however was the food. Everything we ordered was oversalted to hell. I ordered the gnocchi while my partner had the burger and we ordered pomm frittes for the table. The fries weren't bad, just oversalted. The gnocchi was awful, dry and tasteless. (unless you count salt) The burger was unpleasant to even look at. It was so salty my partner ate two bites and politely finished out the meal before boxing it. The staff was pleasant and we didn't complain. We finished, paid and left. We paid $100 for two cocktails, fries, a burger and some gnocchi from a box. If I can warn anyone else off of this place I'll be happy. Don't do it.

Fantastic experience! This place was seriously amazing. Service was spectacular and friendly. We got the clams, muscles, and the pork, and everything was beyond delicious. Ambiance is mellow and approachable, perfect for an impromptu date night or a night out with friends. Loved this place!

We have dined here every time we get an urge for mussels. The staff know us and we have never been disappointed in their service or the food. We love the European atmosphere also.

We loved the option of sitting outside. They made it very comfortable. The food was terrific and there was something for everyone—we went out for Father’s Day and ages ranged from 13 to 83. Best of all—my 83 year old mother is very allergic to many things and the waiters and chefs were very accommodating—and she left a restaurant for the first time in years without feeling unbearably itchy. THANK YOU!!
