Still won’t take cash. Tried calling ahead to see if the policy had changed, but it’s an automated system. Drove all the way just to find out they still don’t accept cash. Waste of time and I really needed a smoothie after a hard days work. I’ve been loyal to Kure, but I feel left out after todays experience and will probably stop going. True bummer :(
Customer service has gone down significantly in my experience coming here and some of my friends have said the same about how weird the vibe is with the staff. Honestly only writing this because I hope it will change. With the current staff attitudes and the expectation to tip on everything even when it's a pickup or online order and customer service isn't given in the first place, has me wondering what I'm actually leaving a tip for and also just feeling hesitant to go here in the first place. I get why we tip, I've been a server for years in this city and I'm all about tipping. So tbh I don't feel at all pressured anymore to tip the staff out of guilt or judgement of looking like a bad customer when the service here is non-existent. Where'd the cool friendly staff go? :(
If you've never been to a Kure I highly recommend you go. Staff's cool and their signature acai bowls "Bowl of the Gods" are simply the best I've had anywhere. Only downsides are they don't accept cash (Uhh.. what?) Also, their rewards program is completely disjointed with no connection between (1)the app, (2)the online ordering system, and (3)your phone number (which you register and recite to the person behind the counter when placing your order). It's a bit of a let down to discover that the loads of money you've spent ordering through their web service don't count to your rewards points and that no way of integrating them exists.
I ordered the PB and Awesome smoothie and was very tasty! It was nice combo to enjoy a smoothie while walking around in the pearl district :)
Words cannot describe how much I love this place. I’m gluten, dairy and egg intolerant so finding a restaurant where I can pick anything at all off the menu is unheard of. I get the shakes frequently but today I ordered one of the lunch bowls and it sealed the deal. So delicious.
The Vietnamese bowl was so yummy! It has a nice and bright dining room with several tables to sit at. Fairly busy, but we didn’t have to wait too long to get our food!
Vegan! Nice space with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Good service. Has WiFi.
Updated: to 5 stars (: I am commenting about this location the one that corresponds with this google adress next to Vacasa.4 stars because the drinks are good and you guys are trying but the girl opening with cyrly hair and a bun 7/18 acted like she wanted to off herself. No smile. No hello. Was so unimpressed with the service. Will change review if owner comments (:
I give them three stars for effort. They get very overwhelmed easily it seemed, and the 2nd juice/smoothie place I've ever been to that doesn't wear gloves. That's very unsanitary. O enjoyed my smoothie and the staff was friendly, unfortunately wouldn't come back nor recommend
Great place, Bowl of the Gods is amazing. However they do not accept cash. Even for a small amount like $10 or less. I will not be back.
