Husband and I got scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, home fires and a bagel each; I had to take my bagel home and finish later! Good prices for quality food! Super friendly, too

Loved it! The atmosphere was cozy, the food was incredible! The staff were great, outgoing and friendly! I would definitely come back! If only I had one closer to where I live. Maybe someday!

The bagels here are great and fresh! Very NY style bagels which I love being that it's all the way on the other side of the country. The corn beef hash was really good too! Though maybe a little over salted for my taste. Overall I would definitely come back and try some more of their dishes!

Excellent great selection, fresh, good food. Friendly staff & management doing all they can w/ supply interruptions, staff shortage, etc..(as they deal patiently w/ a few snotty, petty, whiners)

I haven't yet been to New York City, but in my imagination, Kornblatt's is exactly the sort of place I'd expect to find there! My wife, a huge fan of the lox bagel, had us drive across town to this old haunt of hers, back when she worked in NW. She raved about the quality of their deli meats, their matzo ball soup and, of course, their lox bagel. Bagel places on the east side, with one exception, just weren't cutting it for her, so it was time to revisit an old favorite, to show me what I've been missing. There was virtually no line when we arrived, which didn't give me much time to parse the absolutely colossal menu. As we approached the counter, I scrambled to make a selection from among several enticing options, eventually settling on a meatloaf sandwich. Unfortunately, they happened to be out of meatloaf that particular morning, so I quickly pivoted to order a Reuben, on sourdough, as is my preference. Except I didn't say "reuben", I said "pastrami". When it arrived, I was initially confused at the lack of Swiss and thousand island dressing, until I realized what I had said. Whoops.Despite my verbal malfunction, I ended up enjoying the heck out of Kornblatt's pastrami, which was fresh, thinly sliced, peppered and just the right about of fatty (i.e. not much). A dab of deli mustard and some sauerkraut, and I was a happy camper. I'd also ordered a cup of the matzo ball soup, at my wife's recommendation, which finished off the meal quite nicely. The broth is delicately balanced, not too strong, not too weak - very nice.Around the rest of the table, my wife's order of lox and her own cup of soup shouldn't surprise you. I know when she's not talking, she's enjoying her meal immensely, and it was *pretty quiet* on her side. Our five-year old ordered a PLT (pastrami lettuce tomato), of which I was quite envious, but as he couldn't finish it, I reaped the benefits of a half sandwich worth of leftovers later that day, so win-win for me! Additionally, one of the wonderfully friendly servers asked if he would like a pickle (free), and when he said yes, she brought over an order of three, one for each of us, on the house. It was a sweet gesture, and really endeared me to the staff here.I'm saddened that Kornblatt's is all the way across town from our house, but I was impressed enough by their entire operation that, as far as I'm concerned, they're worth the trek. They're doing everything right, and there's a reason they're as reputable, and long-lasting, as they are. And while I haven't yet made it to New York (I will, someday soon), I'm thankful that there's a (seemingly) authentic slice of the Big Apple several thousand miles closer to home.

Seriously, what a super-fun place for breakfast. It has a cool New York City vibe to it and it is super comfortable. We really enjoyed visiting this restaurant. They have a fantastic breakfast menu for all ages and they make some of the best bagels. They have a fantastic lox and cream cheese. If you're in the area, this is definitely a fantastic place to visit.

Wow! Kornblatt's manages to bring a tiny bit of New York to Portland, Oregon. Come in! The aroma of smoked fish and pastrami is delightful. Cafeteria service is friendly. Prices are okay. My bagel with whitefish was approximately $15., average out of NY. Park wherever you can. There is no lot. Kornblatt's is accessible for wheelchairs. It was clean and the food was excellent. The photos are from Kornblatt's and the painting is Brothers, 4 x 5", oils on canvas, 2021, by Jaynee Levy-Polis. Offers welcome

What kind of bagel place limits the amount of bagels you are buying. Last 3 times I’ve gone in I’ve waited in line for 30 minutes just for some incredibly rude employee to tell me the most amount of bagels I can buy at once is 3. How can you advertise bulk purchases and then tell every customer that you can not even get a 1/2 dozen of bagels. No self respecting business would ever limit the amount an individual can purchase. The bagels that don’t get sold are then sold on discount the next day so as a Kornblatts it makes more sense to sell bagels at full price rather than a bag of discounted bagels. I’m done wasting my time being talked down to by the employees and their false advertising.

I look forward to visiting Kornblatt's whenever I'm in PDX. I'll never NOT get the matzo, but you really can't go wrong here. I had the hot tongue sandwich last time, it was utterly succulent and the bread was the perfect texture. Don't sleep on the kraut or whole pickles! This is an unpretentious, comfort food gem that has delighted me and my dining companions every time.

Authentic New York style deli. Sandwiches are amazing and they have quite the bagel menu. I always love the matzo ball soup. They close at 3:00 so get there early and take some home.
