I love this pub. It reminds me of my visits to Ireland...where both sets of grandparents are from. I imagine my dear granny would have enjoyed the food and nice pint here. The food is superb, the beers and ales are many, and after your meal...visit downstairs of a nice cigar and maybe a bit more than a wee glass of Redbreast. On my travels up and down the west coast I have visited many Irish Pubs, some real and others...well, not so real.So-o-o, my true, firm and honest opinion is that Kell's is among they very best.

This is just a fun pub! The inside atmosphere puts you right into an Irish mood. The drinks were quick to the table and the food was really good. My husband had the corned beef and cabbage and his plate was spotless. I had the fish and chips which were quite tasty - the fries could've been a bit crisper. My brother-in-law loved the sausage roll. We were there for lunch. I would use caution going in the evening as the area around the pub is a bit "rough." Would definitely recommend and go here again.

I expected better of Kells especially for St. Patrick's Day... First off, when we arrived, there was a long line to enter the restaurant with a cover charge of $20 cash. Me and most people I know don't carry much in cash. In the previous years of me going to Kells on St. Patrick's Day, they didn't have a cover charge. They make quite a bit of profit as it is with the premium food and drink prices. To say they are capitalizing over a holiday is an understatement. We then explained to the staff we simply wanted to have a St. Patrick’s day meal and they instructed us to go upstairs where we could sit and eat. After going upstairs and waiting literally 20 minutes with no instruction or signage on where to sit or order, we finally got assistance from the bartender. She instructed that the it was a “limited menu” due to it being upstairs and only had about 6 food items to choose from. For myself I ordered the corned beef pasty and my partner ordered the shepherd’s pie along with two cups of beers that totaled $45. At this time, I thought my angst and bad experience was behind and I could look forward to a tasty and filling meal. This was not the case. We located an available but dirty table where we waited for 45 minutes for our food. When it came to us, they each were on paper plates, my “meal” was simply one small pasty which was more of starter and not an entrée, cold on the outside, and room temperature on the inside. The shepherd’s pie was slightly larger but nowhere near substantial to quell one’s appetite. The food, service, and whole experience were shockingly bad all the way around. I don’t remember having such a bad experience at Kells in all the years prior. I left feeling sleazy and ripped off majorly. It’s very hard for me to have sympathy for local restaurants like this that were suffering during COVID-19 and begging for help and patronage. Now that the pandemic is dying down and they have one big event that attracts people, they’re going to upcharge and rip people off? Really?? I was an opponent for the possibility of Kells closing their doors when they announced they were for sale but maybe it’s time for them to go.

Wonderful food , ENDLESS drink selection. Hannah ( my bartender)was / is awesome. Her parents were visiting which made the experience more personable and gave it a small town down home feel. Thanks Hanna!

Kells is such a fun, homey bar. I especially love coming when they host Coming Up Threes. Their reuben is delish, and their staff is so friendly and kind -- I always spot them taking care of someone who's had too much to drink. Excellent bar! P.S. the bread pudding is to die for!

Beautiful establishment, well made drinks, delicious food and the coolest basement cigar bar!

Great Irish Food. Shepherd’s Pie with rich gravy and beautiful presentation. Fully stacked Rueben sandwich with tender corned beef and great sauerkraut. More than enough food to split between two.

We sat outside. Such a nice setting! The owner even stopped by the check on us. Great service!

Dropped in for lunch and a few drinks and were not disappointed. We sat outside, which was lovely, and the owner was going around to the tables chatting with customers. We ordered a bunch of apps and all were delicious - especially the Irish nachos. Service was great. Would definitely stop in again.
