I decided to try this restaurant after meeting the wonderful owners. I went during lunch time and the restaurant was nice, quiet, quaint, and filled with other people seemingly enjoying their meals. My server was very nice and I never felt overly checked on or ignored. I intentionally ordered way too much food so that I could bring some home to eat later. I also tried their drinks- yum! Everything I ordered came out so fast! I will definitely be coming back for more.
The low lighting is great for those easily overstimulated. Staff are friendly, patient, and prompt You can smell the food from outside, and it smelled delicious! I was on my way to a different restaurant, but it looked too enticing to pass up. Prizes are very reasonable, too!
Loved loved loved this place! The food was so fresh, flavorful and so tasty. I am going to stop by this place every time I visit Portland and would recommend you do the same. You won't be disappointed. Along with the food, we had two refreshing cocktails - Arabian breeze and Arak and ended the meal with Turkish coffee.
So pleased with our experience here. Wonderful selection, super smooth hummus, great plates to share and a great drink selection. For three very hungry people we got the grand veggie mezze which had a little bit of everything. An extra serving of the eggplant rolls, babaganush we were full and satisfied. Staff were kind and so quick to bring our food out.
The staff was kind and somewhat attentive. The environment is clean, calm and quiet. The drinks are so watered down even the alcohol. We ordered hummus with pita and a wrap. The bar keeper never gave us napkins or utensils so we had to find her half way through the second dish. Spent $50 and can’t say I’d go back. The food was ok. I’m glad the chicken was seasoned. ??
Food was ok I guess if you aren't familiar with more authentic flavor of some of the dishes they have. What I don't get is the drinks the guy kept making us had no ice. When I asked why he said they were out. How can you have a bar with no ice...? Safeway was literally a block away, get the manager to go buy a bag of it ?♂️
Stopped after the art museum, short walk to get there. Had the meat and veg mezza plates plus a few extras. The meat platter was plentiful, but the veg not so much, which was ok with the extras. Food was excellent and service was great. Very attentive. Oh! And the drinks were also well done. We were pleased with finding this tasty spot!
This the 3rd worst food & service I've received since I moved to Portland on Jan 28, 2022. I wasn't greeted upon entering. The server was rushed and bad vibe. Food was warm and unseasoned. Asked for salt and extra salad dressing she said kitchen was closed and they didn't have any salt. I guess that explains why the food was soooo bland. Got home and the whole meal came up. Vomited all night. Never again. I will be cooking from now on
Lovely restaurant! The lamb shank was outstanding! I recommend the strawberry & lemon drink.???Lindsey provided a friendly and an attentive service!Will definitely go back! ✨?
