Absolutely delicious handmade Italian food, a wide ranging wine selection, and delicious cocktails. A great balance of informal and classy. The staff and owners are super friendly in my experience. Warm outdoor seating makes it COVID-times-friendly. Highly highly recommend! My personal favorite is the lasagna with lamb. Mmm...
Great place for Italian food reasonably priced. Staff is great, food cooked to order. Have been here several times, always worthwhile. Spaghetti is great, meatballs obviously made in house. Highly recommend.
Food and wine. Five Stars. I am giving it 3 stars overall for one interaction w the owner that left such horrible taste in my mouth so to speak. We were there for a friends birthday. We also happened to have been there two weeks earlier for the same friend's girlfriend's birthday. Needless to say my friend loves this place. He has been going there for years. He brags about he used to go there when it was much smaller. So, at the end of our some $150 meal, we asked if he would get a treat for his birthday, and the owner said "well of course if he orders and pays for it." Wow. So much for rewarding customer loyalty. Despite the great food, i would never go back.
The Alfredo Lasagna was amazing! Even better was getting served by Roland and the staff. Outstanding service and exceeded my already high expectations. The best urban fine dining in Portland! 10/10
Justa-OK.Pasta: the carbonara was a little bland, needed a good bit of added salt and pepper for flavor. The bacon was executed well at least. The Alfredo spaghetti needed salt, but otherwise was flavorful at least. $22 for that carbonara though? It didn't feel justified.Dessert: excellent cheesecake. The chocolate ganache was slightly dry, but nice and dark. Go for the cheesecake over the ganache if you want cake here.Environment: a bit lack luster the Tuesday night we went. Hard seats. The inside had a bunch of supplies stacked up, but I understand that the pandemic means you have excess stock, and there's a need to put away many of the chairs due to capacity limits.. But do they need to be scattered around like that? Feels like the prices mean you pay for a better atmosphere, but it wasn't all there. It's a shame cause the place looks great and I love the open kitchen layout otherwise. The wait staff was very friendly and professional, the service was good.
Got a takeout ravioli. Picked it up on time and it was cold after a less than 5-minute drive. Watery sauce that wasn’t very good. Ravioli was also sub par. To be honest I ate barely half of it and I love ravioli. Extra star because the lady who I talked to was pleasant.
Great heated outdoor seating and well-spaced tables for social distancing. Food is consistently awesome with specials each week and delicious scratch-made ice cream! Staff is so friendly and efficient. I go there once a week and am never disappointed.
Nice out door seating area, not much seating In door. Everything is hard to find at lunch time. Food of course is great as always, and so are their homemade breads, and noodles. Yum!
Heh heh, this is the benefit of WFH. I had the bucatini with clam and prawns. The fresh pasta was delicious! Best pasta since we were in Italy in 2003. Mrs. RB40 had chicken parma. That was really good too. #italianfood #portland
The pasta was handmade but a little too al dente for our taste. The food was cold. The alfredo sauce was really good. The spaghetti noodles were good. The ravioli was mediocre. Great ice cream. The restaurant was really busy and we sat in the bar to eat. It is mostly outdoor dining there. The bartender was friendly and made a great Long Island Tea. The surrounding area was somewhat sketchy. Hard to find street parking in the area.
