never really tried coffee before but came here by a friends suggestion. got suggested the mocha by the person up front and it tasted exquisite. the breakfast sandwich tasted great. didn’t even occur to me that it was vegan ingredients.really great place. indoor seating area is nice with plants and different seating option types. would come here any day of the week if i need some coffee. way better than starbucks down the road (but to be fair, i haven’t tried their coffee, lol)5 stars!
This is such a hard review to leave because I absolutely love their coffee and the baked goods that they stock. Top tier. The cold brew? Perfect. The lattes? So choice. Pastries? Divine. But oh man, the people who work here are always so unpleasant. The first time I came in, I didn't realize everything was vegan, which is fine. I just didn't know. The guy at the counter dramatically rolled his eyes and was extremely condescending about it.I worked in food service and customer service for 10+ years, so I always try to make light, innocuous conversation, but the staff here just...won't. They simply do not want to speak to you. All the employees I've encountered have had a really crusty attitude and act like they hate you for existing. If the customer service were to improve, I may come here more often. But as it is, I rarely do. Such a shame.
Vegan food but I’m a huge carnivore…but it was worth it and very very tasty. If you like reg milk, I recommend the oatmilk. Good place.
Super friendly, helpful staff - also love that their drinks aren't super sweet. I had the big dipper special, which was a toasty, chili enhanced concoction with oat milk. So good. Some inside seating now with ID confirmed proof of vax.
Reason for stopping in:New favorite coffee work spot.Vibe: If I need a moment from home I feel comfortable to pop in and get some work done in a quaint, modern, relaxed environment! It’s mostly empty, which I enjoy and def not a loud chatty place.Style: minimal, with a dash of rebel, some quirky art, with strong southwestern undertone. What I had:I had a Mexi mocha and have stopped in just for the breakfast sandwich. Sooo good. Please add all the fixins for your sandwich, you won’t regret it. ?Note- there is a sweet front patio for outdoor seating and always a good vendor out front (hours vary)
We live in the neighborhood, so we love Saturday morning walks (and days we're both off) to get coffee here. The staff are always so kind (and funny!) and we always feel so welcome whether we're getting our order to go or to dine in.
Excellent vegan coffee house. They offer a variety of milk alternatives and the coffee is exceptional. The staff are always pleasant and the general vibe is really chill, even when busy. Would recommend keeping an eye out for their special drinks, some of the best coffee drinks I have had in Portland. It's our go to place for coffee treats.
What is not to love about a vegan coffee shop that plays punk music? (But not too loudly)They have ample outdoor seating, and their COVID protocols are impeccable. One of my favorite things is getting their day-old baked items. Yum. I get their spiced ginger chai latte. It is so so so good. I dream about it.
They need to add half&half and milk for those who prefer it. Otherwise good coffee.
Got a dirty chai and it was nice and spicy. Great COVID protocols here. Love the vibe and the staff.
