Authentic North Indian food. Everything we ordered was excellent. Will definitely visit again.

The food is excellent! Every ingredient tastes fresh and home-kitchen prepared. A friend and I decided to try on a whim and we both agreed that it was the best Indian cuisine we had ever had-and we have a tradition of trying Indian restaurants together. The curry is NOT that oily, thick, “from a can” goop that I have had in other places. Instead, it is a translucent slow simmered sauce with fresh herbs and spices. The hosts are wonderful. The restaurant staff are doing their best to protect themselves from Covid. Please be respectful and understanding when you visit: there’s a table for guests to get their own utensils and water. Just go with the flow and you will not regret visiting because the flavors are delightful!

Wow!! Blown away by the flavors on this menu. Of all the Indian food I’ve ever eaten, India Oven stands out. Every single item on the menu is clearly made very special. Wonderful gluten free options and powerful but perfectly blended flavors and spices. Impressive!

$4 FOR ONE PIECE OF NAAN. That's not a typo, I figured for $4 you definitely would get two pieces of naan. But apparently not at India oven they've decided to charge the most I've ever been charged for naan bread and give you the least. Food was just okay on top of that.

The food was good, some great. Be aware that it is order yourself, serve yourself. We will go back!

Best of what portland has to offer. We have been eating here since it opened, and before that at the 39th & Hawthorne location. Consistently the best for our entire time going. We will keep it up as long as they do! Love to India oven!

Ordered takeout for three. Amazingly enough, it cost over 90 bucks. And the food was barely passable. Very, very disappointing and outrageous prices for the quality of what you get.

Top Indian food on the east side! I cannot explain how authentic, spice filled, and fresh the ingredients are here. Recommend the home style curries (chicken, goat, lamb), papadam, and when they have it, their special delicious ras malai. Customer service is so friendly and great family run atmosphere. They cook to order unlike most “cafeteria” style places so expect higher quality, well worth the wait and price.

My husband and I went here for the first time last night. I had the chicken biryani, he had the chicken tikka masala and we shared some onion naan. The food was excellent! And the person behind the counter who took our order was very friendly and helpful.I thought the prices were a little high, but it seems that way in a lot of places now. Maybe that's the new normal.Anyway, if you're in the mood for some good Indian check this place out!

Everything was delicious! Tastes like food from home :) perfect portions and large Naan was a plus.
