Been going to Higgins for 15 years. Yesterday found the bar area very busy for dining. We had a rez thank goodness. Unfortunately, they were completely understaffed server-wise in the bar area and both my friend and I felt that the staff had an air of superiority and a complete unwillingness to veer from the menu (drink and food) as written. No flowed far too easily from the server's lips. Im not going back anytime soon. It's ok to be busy and staffing shortages are a reality. But how you treat customers is non-negotiable. Makes me sad. Love the place.

We enjoyed 3 specials - a salad, fresh Chinook salmon, and a beef tenderloin. All were outstanding. Service was also outstanding and efficient.
Our favorite place in Portland. I imagine that my wife and I are probably considered regulars by now. Had dinner last night, and as usual, expectations were exceeded. Food, drinks and service were all wonderful. I have seen negative comments that complain about small portions but I have to wonder what they are comparing the portion sizes to. Weâve never left feeling hungry or short changed.
Waiter was most helpful. Wine was good and appetizers were tasty.

We celebrated my 60th birthday. We loved everything from the service and the food is amazing. Big portion very reasonable price. Nice job everyone. We will come back soon.
