After living in NY‐ fell in love with Kosher delis and boiled bagels. Trader Joe's has off/on carried Bagels from the tri-state area - but choices are limited to a few mainstream (plain, rasin, everything and a Pretzel bagel from Vermont).Henry's has the perfect tear, crunch an level of chewiness that one expects from an NYC boiled bagel. I've tried a few of the sandwiches as well.The real overlooked deal is the CC by the pound.
Went in with a smile on my face. Left disappointed again. There are lots of bagel places to choose from with better food and better service.Oh by the way. They only have a million 5 star reviews because they used to give you a discount for a 5 star review. Lol.
Not just your normal bagels! These are bagels from another dimension. Best in Portland! I love their lunch bagel options! Especially the salmon or lox.The staff is friendly and mellow too.Coffee is great quality. Wasn't expecting how good it ended up being. Their cups and cardboard sleeves are not quite strong enough though. Watch your hands! Bring in your own travel mug to protect your hands and the Earth. ?
Great variety of fresh, boiled bagels (also fun seasonal flavors and bagels sandwiches) and flavors of cream cheese to top them. The physical space is a quirly little shop featuring bagel themed murals on the walls inside. Day old bagels sold in bulk at register for discount. Order ahead available, but walk up wait less than 5 minutes.
Pretty busy place. Staff was friendly despite how busy they were. The bagels are delicious, crispy outside, melt in your mouth inside, not tough/"chewy". A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

It comes open faced with cream cheese, lox, tomato (I'd skip the tomato next time), and capers. It's fabulous and totally worth the $13.

Henry Higgins is our go-to bagel place! I usually get an everything bagel breakfast sandwich with sausage, cheese & egg - it’s the best! Make sure to check out their other sandwiches and spreads as well.Staff is friendly and they get through orders quick! It’s take out only right now, no dine-in, so bring some bagels home today!
Best bagels around IMHO. Great basic East Coast flavors with a few spicy ones.
after moving to Portland from Connecticut i have FINALLY found a bagel that compares to New York style. i had all but lost hope that i would ever have a good bagel again. these bagels are crunchy and delicious and just perfect. will be a regular ❤️
