I had the oxtail soup & chicken skewers. Both had an explosion of flavor. Chill setting with an excellent staff. Will make this a stop everytime I visit Portland. The turmeric mule is also very satisfying.
Southern Thai fried chicken that literally could be the BEST chicken I've ever put in my mouth. Some coconut on it that was fried as well that just enhanced that flavor. If I could eat here daily I would. The Roti was not like a Roti I was used to - it was sort of like a nan bread but fried and AMAZING> Ordered a curry to go along with it. Again, this was amazing and I wish I lived next door to it.
Don’t overthink it — get the fried chicken. This was the best meal I have ever had in my entire life. The myriad of flavors rocked my socks. I am not from Portland, but I will be making a yearly trip (at the least) to experience Southern Thai cuisine. Cannot recommend this place enough.
We ordered 3 courses: 1 pad Thai, 1 sticky rice wt fried chicken, short ribs soup. The pad Thai and chicken toooooooo salted.Friendly staffs. No parking area.
Points for juicy, flavorful, fried chicken…and friendly staff.Beef cheek was tender, BUT the curry that it comes in, is wayyyyy too salty (catered to the American palate), thai ice tea was wayyyy too sweet despite asking for a lower sugar level, food was slow despite no crowd, roti was wayyy too doughy, AND sticky rice was STALE AND HARD.Came due to ppl’s recommendations, but prob won’t come back again cos plenty of delicious fried chicken in the world WITH other sides and dishes that are great. This isn’t Asian, it’s more Americanized Asian.
Straight fire. The wine bar next door lets you eat with a larger group on the patio if your party gets your drinks there. So nice. Combo plate with extra roti, brisket, and pork belly were our highlights. SO GOOD.
This is my new addiction!! Wow the curry, chicken and roti combo is just soo comforting! The mango horchata is something dreams are made of! Don’t order too much cause they run out!
Great food but it's on the salty side.Sticky rice with the fried chicken was a bit cold and a bit hard. Food & drink we ordered:Khao Yum, Oxtail soup, Muu Hong, Hat Yai Combo, mango sticky rice, Turmeric Mule, singha beer
The food was good, but the portion was quite small. The flavors were great, but for me it was a bit too sweet, it needed a bit of a kick, the jalapeños were sweet so it didn’t add a different flavor profile to the food. Maybe next time I come back I will try the spicy option. The customer service was awesome. The cashier almost tripped trying to give us our food. But she caught herself pretty quick.
Our favorite restaurant in Portland. We make it a point to take people here when they visit and everyone raves about it after. The fried chicken, sticky rice, curry and roti combo is incredible. We've also tried the short rib and cauliflower - both amazing! The food is consistently delicious and the service is great.
