This place has an interesting, Thai-influenced menu, highlighted by fried chicken. However, the curries are what blew me away. The malayu curry was rich, a little sweet, and pretty much what I dream of for a Thai curry. The braised chicken resting in it was super tender. The beef skewer had a nice crust and the curry sauce that is was resting in was phenomenal.. 10/10! Roti is a unique addition to a Thai menu -- switches things up from the usual rice accompaniment, and it's excellent for soaking up all the flavors. The value at Hat Yai is through the roof! High-end flavors for every day prices!

Lip-smacking crispy Thai-style fried chicken!!! I love the roti sets that come with roti and curry for dipping. Everything here is so tasty. The chicken is crispy and moist and goes well with the curry and roti. The pickled veggies that come with the set are crave-worthy and add a nice texture and acidity to the meal. The cocktails here are really creative, fusing Thai flavors with classic favorites. There is lots of outdoor seating. Service is fast and friendly.

Love this place , the roti and curry hit the spot every timeThe fried chicken is good just don’t forget to add the sauceTried the tamarin whiskey smash cocktail and it was surprisingly refreshing

We came here with a lot of expectation as the review was great for this place. We ordered a southern style pad thai to start with however the taste was so average along with the small quantity that we did not think twice to get out of this place.

Very good curry. Small portions but very flavorful. Interesting cocktails.

Amazing flavors, small portions!- Grilled chicken skewers are more tender & saucy than fried chicken- Hat Yai fried chicken combo was v good- Pad Thai ($13 entree) was the size of an appetizer! Flavor was good but I will not get again; portion size was very disappointing as it wouldn't satisfy one person for a meal- coconut mango horchata was delicious, but also pricey for the size ($7)Would come here again to dine-in on a special occasion, but won't be coming back regularly or for take-out. The sauce is out of this world delicious though & would buy that bottled in a heartbeat

Whatever fried chicken portion you're feeling is appropriate, go for one size larger - you'll regret it otherwise. The sticky rice compliments it perfectly, and I personally suggest a glass of red wine to pair it with. I came here on a first official, "we're getting food, not just drinks" date and I highly recommend. It's reasonably priced, with a casual atmosphere and the wide open outdoor seating makes it low-pressure and fast enough that you're not stuck sitting through courses if it doesn't go well.

coconut mango horchata is great

Loved this place. Will go back every time we are in the area. The chicken was so crunchy but stillMoist inside. The curry was so flavorful. 10/10!! TRY IT.

Really wanted to love this place as it has been on my list for quite a while, however, it was lacking. The fried chicken was mostly bone with no sauce. They just provide a side of the typical bottled Thai sweet chili sauce which isn’t a unique or special flavor for those of us who eat/make Thai food regularly. The pork belly and horchata was very good, which bumped them up to 3 stars. Also, please note that this restaurant doesn’t provide the typical huge portions of dishes like pad Thai and curry. The portions are small and you will need to order more than one dish for dinner.
