The best Edamame appetizers and a menu of famous exotic restaurant drinks from around America. The cosy atmosphere included occasional flashing house lights, sound effects and spectacular flaming drinks. Courteous, professional, and friendly servers. 5 Stars!SincerelyPortland DJ Dan

A fantastic atmosphere and overall experience. Great cocktails and food. We went on a Thursday night and loved it, with only a 5min wait for a table. I recommend any of the rum cocktails as a few of us had them and loved them! A little tricky to get to if you live on the west side of Portland but well worth the journey!

I finally got to drink here. I have been going to Undertow in Phoenix for years, and people have said that Hale Pele is the equivalent in Portland. They were right. Very good drinks, and the food was great also.

You can’t go wrong with any drink option. The atmosphere, the drinks, the food and the bartenders are top notch. It’s such a fun experience in Portland. It’s a small bar so you may have a bit of a wait but it’s absolutely worth it.

Such a delightful and fun cocktails experience! I have been here on a first date, brought out of town guests here, and stopped by after a concert at Revolution Hall on my way home. I love stepping into another world when I go to a venue - and that's totally what this is! I'm a Pina Colada fan myself and this place didn't disappoint! There is a no alcohol, fun drink section for the drivers or non-drinkers to enjoy. I've never ordered the flaming drinks but have also not been here a night where someone didn't - it's quite a show with flaming and sparking cinnamon sprinkles!!! The scent - so yummy!Love the music and all the tiki ambiance. Comfortable place to hang out - tables for mostly larger groups, bar seating for singles and pairs. We got permission to start in a booth if we were willing to move - and we ended up not having to (Tuesday night, 10pm).

Great small bar to visit in Portland. If you want a fun, well crafted experience for a small group or a romantic date with shareable drinks to sip out of a volcano then check out the Best(?/!) Tiki bar in Portland.Their Pacific island food was well made and thoughtfully kept to a small part of the menu. Try the crab Rangoon dip, pulled pork and definitely try the Mac salad.Though you didn't come here for the food, you came here for the first 80% of the menu which is a perfect tiki bar of tropical drinks. A drink strength scale for the drinks ensures this is a fun experience and really shows how the employees can keep themselves and their patrons safe. The whole bar reacts to specifically themed drinks and even if you're not drinking you get a show. Don't be disappointed if you don't order a big event, because someone else will. The wait staff are always open to guiding your hand if you're confused. But this place is FUN! ? I'd suggest any of the shared drinks, the jet pilot and of course the zombie (this drink is limit 2 per customer so drink responsibly).Portland is a great place to drink and this place exemplifies it. If you're 21+ and you're just looking for something different then go here and be open to the experience.

I love everything about it, the decor has great authenticity, the food is delicious and the drinks are well make (not candy sweet or overly boozy). Not really a place for children after dark (more because it is lively - not rowdy) great place to escape the now for a past and a place that never really existed. Wonder fun.

I love this place! It feels like you are transported to Hawaii! The novel of drinks were fun! You can collect them all and they have a fun thing to check off if you do! It was packed so plan ahead!

Fun place with a cozy atmosphere and just the right amount of ambiance. The drinks were well made and the food was pretty good for a small bar. There was something in the air that made my eyes sting the entire time which did decrease my enjoyment a bit, but overall I think they did a good job with their little space.
