The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The layers of flavor were perfect. We all had the Halibut - so impressed. Excellent wine as well. I highly recommend.

We love Gumba! One our favorites and always fun to bring new people!

The food was absolutely amazing. We loved the dishes we ordered, they were a great balance of traditional-ish and creative and delicious-- but I will note that the main dishes we had were pretty heavy, and I wouldn't recommend getting the fry bread also as an appetizer-- though it was great and would be fun if you just were getting drinks. The indoor area is attractive but we found it quite noisy. The outdoor area was pretty big and looked lovely-- but didn't take reservations and was full when we arrived. I think our experience was mainly our server, but what should've been a relaxed celebratory meal felt rushed and stressful. Our server asked for our drinks orders as she gave us the menus, for our food order when we (quickly) ordered drinks, then when she came back again- as we hadn't looked at the menu- she wanted both the appetizer and food orders. We hadn't quite even decided on appetizers but we just put in some orders very quickly because she just seemed really impatient-- and before we knew it the food and appetizer was all arriving simultaneously. No time to chat over a glass of wine or to pick at the appetizer. She didn't offer us dessert menus (I had to ask) -- but after a heavy meal the desserts also looked heavy (something like gelato would've been lovely) and apparently they don't have espresso; if there are dessert wines or digestif drinks they weren't offered. Other groups seemed to be having more relaxed experiences but I felt like we were paying our bill and leaving super fast. I left feeling stressed out and kind of bummed because we'd been looking forward to this all day and we just sort of rushed through the food and left.

Great spot and delicious food! A hidden gem in Portland!

Good, friendly service. Burrata and charred calamari apps might have stolen the show. Pastas were solid. Would definitely go again.

Great service & delicious food. Cute place, nice vibe. Loved the fry bread with burrata. Just different enough. Seafood spaghetti was delicious but salty & oily. Still, quite tasty. Tagliatelle was loved by my hubby. Split salad really nicely different & full of fun flavors & textures. We’ll be back! It was a bit noisy in the back room, but that just means folks were lively & having fun.

Waitress, Cory(sp?), was outstanding, knowledgeable and attentive. Appetizers outstanding (burrata and fry bread mmmmm good; bruschetta seasoned just right, broiled tomato different but great; crudo refreshingly different). Pasta creative, and delish. Only criticism was the lasagna, suffered with apparent reheating.

Everything we had to eat and drink were incredible. Nice environment. 10/10

Beautiful space with several different dining areas. The area behind the bar is cozy with amazing wallpaper. The food is outstanding. We throughly enjoyed the service. Friendly yet professional. Wine list met our expectations and our daughters enjoyed the dirty martini’s. We can’t wait to go back!

The food was excellent !! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
