You see this face? This is the look of sheer bliss just before I enjoy my first flight of beer in over 5 years since finding out I was celiac. Left with a flat and a half of beer and it didn't last long once I got it home to Canada. One of the best tasting fermented liquids I've had the pleasure of enjoying. Please send us more of these amazing variety's to your friends in the North!
Groundbreaker, thank you for existing! It’s so hard for gluten free people to find a place where they can order anything without worrying. The dark brews were my favorite (I had a sampler so I could taste more than one) and the gluten free food was absolutely delicious! The onion rings were perfection!!! We also splurged (calorie-wise) and tried the fried Oreos! If you’re gluten free and live in Portland or are visiting Portland, GB should be on your list.
The thing the hubby misses most about becoming gluten intolerant is his craft beers. We’re talking -part of a craft beer club -level of love. This is the first place we have been where the quality of the beer comes anywhere close to those brewed with wheat. We would even say that most people would not even be able to tell. The best part is that they are not full of chemical substitutes either. If you like beer but have become celiac or intolerant you don’t want to miss this place. Kids are welcome and the food menu is all vegan and GF too. Can you open a Canadian outpost please???
Amazing and delicious. Onion rings were amazing, sweet, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Coffee cake was moist and delicious. And I don't like beets, but I would order the beetball sandwich in a second.
Ya know, onion rings aren’t necessarily a staple in my life, let alone my diet. And yet, after trying the onion rings here, they may need to be incorporated as a mainstay in my dietary choices… I don’t know exactly where I was going with this, but the onion rings are phenomenal, so is the other food and best GF beer in town.
I had to update my rating and leave a comment because this place is that incredible!!! I love their beer so much and highly recommend going here.. even if you aren't GF. Best place ever for GF beer drinkers.
Love coming here when in town. This dedicated gluten free facility is wonderful. All of the beers are tasty, the staff is nice and having gluten free bar food is such a treat.
Solid gluten free beersOften with food, either pizza or they have a pop up they're associated with and I got honest to god funnel cake.I had a stomach ache because I over indulged in all the amazing food.
Great gluten-free beer, and love those honey butter corn dogs!!
Love love love Groundbreaker, been a fan for years. If you've had their cans, DO come in for their tap offerings, because you will get to try ALL the things you might not be able to get elsewhere.Plus on Fridays you can get growlers of your favorite fresh flavors for practically FREE. Ok not free but very affordable and sustainable. There's a can shortage going on, people. Growler up!Travelling from out of town? Come here! They have the most delicious comfort food you've been missing out on ever since you realized gluten hates your guts. I'm talking corndogs, I'm talking funnel cakes. Not just funnel cakes, but HOT funnel cakes, with jam and peanut butter and ice cream (vegan if you're into that!) and salted crushed nuts. I mean. Jesus. Take my money. Take my soul.
