I got a full philly with provolone. I was really excited to try it. It tasted ok...but, I was really looking forward to the grilled onions and peppers and all the good yumminess all together. The peppers are cold/pickled and I didn't get any onions. My son loves it but I'm not doing that again....50$ down the drain

Best phillys in Portland hands down!!! The service almost as good as the sandwich! We came in sunday at 11:30 the young lady working was definitely best customer service i have had in a very long time!! Thanks Grants!!!

This place was good!! I did a half Philly Philly with the cream cheese!! It was perfectly messy as it should be. The fries were nice and hot. I look forward to trying the other menu offerings.

Grant's continues to fix up their little nook on Sandy. I love the authenticity of east coast eats from those that run the place. Staff was friendly, food was hot, and the rosemary fries were amazing. Go here for a good food experience at a fair price.

Bring back the real Grant's Philly. Went in today ordered an original and got meat and cheese on a soggy bun thing, nothing like the old Philly. The counter attendant says the right words but was not very believable. He was very short with a customer regarding a to-go order. He never asked us if our was to-say or to-go. Nice new paint, nice new sound system but we would prefer quality sandwiches and skip the decor.PS: went in twice for gift certificates and they were out, no idea when they would have them again, today, a big sign on the counter “ gift certificate”, too bad after today we don’t need any gift certs.Follow up, thanks for the refund, not expected but thanks for the effort, for that we will give it another try. Before this, we loved the place !

It wasn't bad, but I guess the best way to put it would be over priced and under whelming. At $17 for a small sandwich, fries and a drink I didn't feel like I got my monies worth. The sandwich was smaller than expected for a $13.50 sandwich and not great. Basic steak, cheese and a little onion some buttered bread. They were out of sweet and hot peppers. Prices do not match their online menu. Almost double.

Yesterday I ordered three sandwiches (Sandy Blvd. location) one of them a Philly Philly. The order taker was very rude and very “short” with customers. After waiting over 20 minutes for my order, I take my order home. The Philly Philly sandwich had NO cream cheese (and no other cheese substituted on it) and there was NO chips provided with any of the sandwiches. If you run out of product, especially at lunch time, you should advise your customers of substitutions instead of not saying anything; i.e., “Hey, I’m sorry we are out of cream cheese. Would you like another cheese. We are out of our homemade chips, would you like fries instead?” Also, might I suggest going to Costco down the street to get product to assemble your product as listed on your menu.EDITED AFTER RESPONSE FROM OWNER: Well you have me confused with a different unsatisfied customer. I actually ordered at the restaurant and was not asked or told you were out of anything. I'm pretty sure Growers Outlet or Costco have potatoes, so you can make your chips. And if you didn't have the cream cheese, the point is you never told me that or gave me a substitution choice. If you are truly the owner responding to this Google review, you need to set a better example of good customer service. In addition, this is not the first time this has happened at this location. This is, however, the first time I have ever wrote a review because I am so disappointed. This place ROCKS! Philly steak is bomb! Burgers are bomb! Fries are atomic bomb, side of fries is huge! Well worth the trip to the slightly out of the way location. Great place to go eat before you go to Costco, you'll be so stuffed it could save you$$$!

Steak and chicken philly taste great. The meat is very moist, and don’t stand the sub upright or it will leak everywhere. Other than that, great food.
