4 stars for American standard but only pass for authentic Chinese. Ordered beef fried rice and hot and sour soup. Fried rice was good with eggs and green onion, on the sweet side. But the sliced beef was tasteless. Soup was ok but found it awkward to be served in a large remekin instead of a bowl. Very clean facility with vibrant customers.
We were the only out-of-towners in the room. Good sign. The noodles are the star of the show. Doesn’t matter what you pair with them. The dumpling soup is also outstanding.
Amazing! I accidentally placed an online order to the beaverton location, which is much further from me, and when I called about it they were quick, kind and responsive. They coordinated with each other so that I could pick up at the northeast location. Once I got there they immediately knew which order I was looking for, and service in person was great too. And to top it off, the best noodles ever!
The food was great, and the service was incredible. We got our food 5 minutes.
Unfortunately the quality has dropped substantially at this place while the prices have gone up. I know with inflation prices are bound to go up but this isn't worth half of what we spent on it this evening. The beef was low quality and the broccoli was barely cooked. The fried rice was delicious, but for 14 dollars wasn't worth it. We made a special trip into Portland for this because it used to be more than worth it.
This is my third time eating here. I kept wanting it to be amazing, but everything I've ordered has been over salted. The chewy noodles are okay in my opinion. The customer service has always been great though.
Love the authenticity & dedication to freshness!
Great handmade noodles but they are a little chunky and chewy for my taste. The indoor space is small and crowded and smells awesome but not exactly Covid-safe yet.
The owner/person at the front desk was very rude. Even 30 minutes after I got there, I wasn’t given the menu or had my order taken while those who got there much later were already eating. The owner saw me thrice but chose to ignore me. When I finally asked the owner for a menu, he said he thought I was a “delivery guy”. It doesn’t make sense to me why he would think that someone who chooses a table at the innermost part of the restaurant would be waiting to pickup a delivery. It might be because I’m non-white. Initially I thought it was a genuine misunderstanding but he continued to be rude to me for my remaining time there like he didn’t want me there. He seemed friendly to some other patrons though. I visited Portland hoping to meet welcoming and tolerant people but I guess I was expecting too much.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
