Just tried out the Yucatan food cart and it's amazing! Real jamaica, not just powder, and the horchata is so smooth and rich. Incredibly flavorful al pastor and the mole has a nice kick to it, and the fresh chips are delicious. There were only four carts open but service was fast and I liked having seating away from other folks.
Rarely has more than one or two trucks open at lunch. Service at all of them is rough and nothing worth writing home about for food. Tacos are fine in a pinch, but try Mi Puebo, La Tia Juana, or Chepe's instead. Worst pod in Portland? Seems like it.Hours and descriptions rarely match. When food is available, it may take long enough to serve (30-45+ minutes with zero other customers) that you're better off going anywhere else. At least there's enough seating for everyone! (You'll be joined by the stray dogs from the abandoned lot nearby.)Convincing owners/operators to get out of their cars long enough to get someone to take an order inside their cart, especially at Fish on a Stick, is a nightmare.
I've only seen 2 carts open, both had good eats
Went to get some Italian food at cucina di Francisco. Both dishes we bought are A+++. Can honestly say it’s better than Olive Garden. You have to come try it sometime.
They have Yucatán food so good the panuchos are my favorite ?
Went to the place called Fish on a stick. People were awesome and food was great. Place only had 2 carts open though.
Mexican cart had really good food
#hibachipdx definitely wanna check out the trap snacks menu as well.
We like Sabordemexico.pdx very much
What a great feel to this small food cart stop. The fish on a stick is fantastic!! Everything they have is straight FIRE?! I'd also recommend the corn dogs at Batter on deck, hand dipped to perfect. Great place to bring the kids!!
