Cute café. Comfortable seating and adorable pawprint lattes ? Not a bad spot to meet up with friends.
When I came to Portland two months ago, I was crashing with a friend in the Mt Scott area. I quickly fell in love with Henry Higgins bagels. My friend is in the process of revamping a house near Flying Cat Coffee Co. I was initially sad because I thought I'd be too far from Henry Higgins. Today was my first morning I needed coffee at the new place.According to photos on here, Flying Cat Coffee Co uses bagels from Henry Higgins!! I waltzed over to check them out. I loved the entire vibe of Flying Cat Coffee Co! The inside feels like a relaxed lounge and the outside seating area feels like hanging out on your own porch!I ordered the Persian bagel, French Toast latte, cinnamon roll, and Suphalak smoothie. When they totalled it up, I thought they missed something because it was so affordable! Everything was so perfect I don't think I could pick my fav out of the four items. Also want to add that they didn't skimp on the avocado for the bagel. Yum! ?The staff that took me order was chill and not pushy too. Definitely will be back! ?
some of the best coffee I've had in Portland it's very cute and quaint inside there are lots of vegan pastries and sandwiches/burritos & the barista is always fast & friendly also they have lots of fun creative seasonal drinks
I had a great vanilla latte and the breakfast sandwich was so good. I got there at 3:30 and he was willing to stay a few minutes after closing to help me.
Underrated! I go to coffee shops for the space, and this one is a rare combo of "cozy space I feel totally happy to be in" and "menu items I actually want to order and don't feel like I'm wasting my money on." Somewhere with character holding out on gentrified Division St.
Love this little place. It’s a hyper local cat themed cafe serving coffee drinks and vegan and vegetarian food. The breakfast “purritos” are well worth the wait.
Been a vegetarian for over 2 yrs never been to a all vegan/vegetarian place before and i’m so happy this was my first experience! the sandwich’s were amazing and the coffee was so good! i ordered a bagel with eggs, vegan sausage, hasbtowns, and cheese. I loved it! Next time i’m down in portland i will 100% go to this place again
Good coffee, and Jeremy is always so friendly. Wonderful selection of unique vegetarian sandwiches.
I miss coming here on the weekends for my Ocelot(?). Can't remember my regular anymore :/ but my dude behind the counter always did and love him for it. It's a bit pricier but it's worth it. To others, be patient. It's a 1-person show back there.
Looking for a decent coffee shop with reliable Wi-Fi where I could sit down to get some work done in an enjoyable environment, I found coffee shop after coffee shop that closed at 3:00 pm, which was especially strange on a Thursday and in the middle of a district that constantly draws so many people looking for the distinct Portland foodie experience. Finally wandering into Flying Cat, I would never have known by the low-key demeanor of it's front entrance, that inside there was such a spacious, warm, friendly environment awaiting. The food was adequate, the coffee was up to PDX java snob standards, the decor inviting, and the general atmosphere of the place and demeanor of the server made me want to stay long beyond the brief visit I'd originally planned. Oh yes, and the strong Wi-Fi signal allowed me to work without a single interruption, right up until their closing at 5:30 pm. Even if I didn't live right here in the neighborhood, this place could easily become a favored establishment...
