Refused to make my latte extra hot.Context:I'm sitting in the car with two kids and my partner tries to order my coffee extra hot, which is pretty standard. Rather than asking for more "context" and trying to imply that her attitude was less than exemplary, maybe reflect upon how you could have handled the situation better.Yes we all have bigger lives, but that isn't a pass to reject a basic "can I have my latte extra hot" request.
Sadly the current state is very different than reflected in the reviews.we looked for a place to get breakfast and coffee, and discovered they had nothing to eat except the breakfast burrito. Apparently due to not having enough customers, they don't stock up on anything, nout even pastries.Giving them the benefit of the doubt with 3 stars, as we just left. If you only want coffee, maybe they are fine. These are tough times in this very run down neighborhood, but putting the review here so others don't make the same mistake.I hope this is temporary and they will be able to get back to past glory...
Excellent customer service in a mellow environment. The house brew was satisfying and affordable.A respite and an oasis in old Town.
Very comfortable and a warm atmosphere. The coffee was excellent and the owner was so kind to us.
I found the coffee here to be average and mediocre. Portland has so many stellar coffee joints that this place cannot compete.
Amazing breakfast experience! We had a great time chatting with the owner and checking out the art. The house roasted coffee (drip coffee and decaf americano) and breakfast burrito were so good.
Great food, wife and I loved the Better breakfast sandwich, cappuccino and Chai were good. If you are staying near old Town, I would suggest this place. Also the Stag is not far from and can be seen overhead.
I order all my coffee from Nichole. She always suggests something new I will love and then mails the coffee to my home. Everyday I enjoy their coffee at home.
Floyd's went so far out of their way to help me with my fundraiser. They are the best!
I’ve lived here for 30 years, & Floyds is ABSOLUTELY the most soulful Coffee House in Downtown Portland…& a 1-of-a-kind breakfast burrito…check it out!
