Highly recommended. I ordered the Koji Beet Reuben which sounds weird, but don’t let the description fool you. The rye was crunchy and held up to the juiciness of the beets, sauerkraut and horseradish sauce. The jojos were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside …just how I like them. The German style potato salad was also a winner, it reminded me of my mom’s recipe. I’ll definitely be returning. The menu on the entrance stated the Reuben was sold out but it wasn’t. Always ask. ?Be sure to check their hours. We went on a Saturday and their hours are noon to 4 pm then 4:30 pm to 9. Not open on Sundays, Mondays, or Tuesday’s . ?

Very delicious plant based food! I really enjoyed the potato salad and the burger was very good! Loved the patty (I felt like the ketchup side was a little too salty, but once I removed that part of the bun I felt like it was the perfect seasoning level for me, could just be my own preference though). The kombucha and kefir water were also delicious and they have a lot of fermented products (like kraut!) you can grab to take home. Will definitely be back to try more. They have ample outdoor covered seating, some uncovered, and seats indoors as well.

Lovely place in the Central Eastside area from by folks of Farm Spirit (RIP). Almost everything is made in-house and you can taste it. We got the BBQ Burger ($14) and Kale and Sourkraut Salad ($7) which were both amazing.

when we got here, many of the food items were sold out (1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice). the only food items that remained had tempeh in them which is not one of my favorite things in general. i got The Bowl and it was INCREDIBLE. the miso dressing was subtle and beautiful.the bowl itself had a quinoa and bean base and topped with perfectly cooked veggies. omg. SO GOOD.i also had the ginger ale *chef’s kiss*not a vegan, but my word was this a fantastic spot.

Everything on this menu is 100% off the charts. Their crunchy ranch salad is my absolute favorite. Their rotating soups, yum. Veggie burgers. Kefir. Kombucha. I wish I could eat here for every meal for the rest of my days.Good for my gut - good for my mood - I love you, Fermenter.

So good! My fiance and I tried this place per recommendation from someone who worked at new seasons nearby. I would highly recommend eating here and may arguably be one of the best restaurants in Portland.I've eaten many vegan burgers but never had one that tasted this much like animal products and have so much flavor. I also ordered the tempe on the burger and it tasted just like actual bacon with its smoky to perfection goodness. The saurcraut was so good also (i don't like saurcraut and will happily eat this again). The other sides we ordered were every bit as terrific as the burgers. We will be going back. I highly recommend this place.

In a the city that has plenty of healthy gut options to choose from, it is hard to go wrong. Though, with Fermenter, you strike gold!!This place is awesome! Food and drink here is unreal. Great location in the SE that has the tap house on one side and the the restaurant on the other, you're in for a treat.Menu is packed with items that make your mouth water just reading them. On our most recent visit we had the Miso Apple Glazed Burger, Crunchy Ranch Salad, Fritters, Soup and paired it with a Water Keifer and Kombucha. Flavors were so amazing. When you take your first bite, you can taste truly how fresh every ingredient is. Feels like intentional cooking. Every ingredient has a place in the dish.Great spot!! We will definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!

We're obsessed with Fermenter! This is definitely some of the best plant-based food in Portland. Make your tummy happy and pay them a visit for some amazingly delicious plant-based food, kombucha, and kraut. Your taste buds and microbiome will thank you!

I cannot say enough good things about Fermeter!! Seriously, if you are in the area, you need to try it. Today I ordered one of their burgers, some root veggies and kombucha and honestly fermented food has no right to be this delicious. I also had the honor of meeting the owner, Aaron, and learn about the pivot that the restaurant made from Farm Spirit to Fermenter. I am SO glad they were able to adapt - this place is truly a cut above! This is now one of my favorite restaurants in Portland, hands-down.

Really loved my first time at Fermenter. I ordered the spicy bowl, which wasn’t very spicy but offered a hearty kick and beautiful colors. The decor is simple, clean and warm. Service was quick and efficient. Went on a Saturday afternoon and got a seat at the bar- no problem. Can’t wait to try more of the menu and I’m definitely bringing friends.
