Brisket was salty (unusual for that) and catfish was not a good as normal either…. Very friendly great service

Been a while since I have eaten here since our local one closed down a few years ago. Didn’t disappoint although they must be using a different cornbread recipe as it didn’t taste as great as I remember. Brisket was just okay, but was soft. Highlights were the St. Louis Ribs, which had meat falling off the bone, and the Banana Pudding which is one of the best desserts I have had in a long time. Lunch - An Amboy B. Dessert - An Amboy A!
I stopped off to eat at Dave’s BBQ after arriving from NYC to Oregon. It was an easy quick bbq meal. It reminds me more of a fast food bbq joint but was pretty good.There’s a big bar with lots of TVs to watch sports games. It’s also family friendly too.
First and foremost we were able to park our rig there?Then:?Nate?made our visit even awesomer!Dave's is only place one washes hands before during and after eating...cause it is totally an "I gotta pick it up to eat ut....NO FORKS ALLOWED SCRUMPTIOUS BBQ".......................................and OH, the BREAD PUDDING...nuff said❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The food was great as it always is but..,, The service was slow because they were short handed. They did comp us some desert, which I appreciate. And they closed early and we felt rush to get out.
First, the service was outstanding. Our hostess seated us quickly with a smile and our server was absolutely awesome. However, the food was literally 50/50. I got the Q two meat meal with bbq chicken and rib ends, pineapple steaks, and red mashed potatoes. Hubby got the Q two meat as well with brisket and turkey, Mac n cheese, and broccoli. First the negatives, the cranberry juice I would never order again. The broccoli was almost raw and the Mac n cheese was so bland salt couldn't save it. The pineapple was so disappointing, I love pineapple to no end, this was the worst I have ever had sadly. The brisket was simply okay. The red potatoes were really good, the corn muffin was great, and the rib ends are what we both shared, as it was the best of four meats. If I rated on service 5 stars, but the value of the food definitely did not meet quality of flavor by any means.
In town for two days and needed lunch someplace near hotel. Usual fare a sl le at all if this chain. Server friendly. Food arrived quickly was good. Reasonable priced lunch specials.
The wait was not nas long as expected. We ordered took about 25 minutes too hit table and it was cold. No one running the food so it sat or grill threw it on , seared both sides and put it out. They were kind enough too reach into the lowboy, pullout the already cook rib, applied heat and brush. First time we've been out for 14 months and being a chef of 20 yr just wanted the consistency i experience prior. Food is great, but better hot.
The food is always good here - I love the brisket. It literally melts in your mouth. My friend picked steak which was cooked too long but they are always extremely busy, so just be prepared for a 20-40min wait on seats.Overall an amazing place though! I love the atmosphere and customer service has been too notch every time I’m in.
