I randomly found this bar because it was close to my hotel and it was my last night in Portland. I’m so glad I did.Atmosphere, bar staff, patrons; all 10/10. I came on karaoke night which is already a good time for me, but watching everyone have so much fun made it even better. There are definitely bars that have karaoke and you can feel the unwelcoming atmosphere but not Escape. This place really upholds their name and what their mission statement is. Would definitely come again next time I’m in Portland.
Food and drinks are yummy! Entertainment is great!Bartenders are awesome!! Except for one who I find to be incredibly rude... And she's been there for quite some time. Not sure why you'd have a rude bartender??? I thought maybe it was just me but after speaking with several other people, it was overwhelming how many felt the same way!!
Our first time visiting Escape Bar and it was a nice, quaint little bar. We ordered their 1/4 pound burger and it was rediculous great. Great prices also. This is going to be your name playing out bar now.
Update: Despite the fact that I am a regular at this bar, I came here recently and was discriminated against. I wasn't allowed to sit inside because of medical discrimination. Unfortunately, I guess I won't be returning due to their uninclusive and divisive policies.Previous review:This bar as really great and they have a very diverse clientele. They are known as one of the best gay bars in in the city, but are accepting of all people, genders, and orientations. I'm lucky to live so close.The food is pretty good and they serve it until late. They also have a great beer list & extensive selection which is a pleasant surprise given that most other gay bars I have been to do not. They do drag nights here I think it's Fridays and Saturdays they do karaoke. Don't quote me on that though because I am just speaking from memory.All in all a great neighborhood bar, that I can walk home from if I have too many drinks, and that always has good vibes and good times with diverse people.
Great service, great local pub. Beer, cocktails, food, games, karaoke... what more could you ask?
Good food good drinks lovely space and friendly, inclusive people. It's really the most ideal bar you could ask for right off 82nd. There's nothing better around for miles. Parking can be tricky just find a spot in the neighborhood its worth it. Also check out the mini mart next door it's a trip!
I love this place! Heather the KJ is amazing. Drinks are delicious, and atmosphere is very welcoming. Highly recommend.
I came for trivia night and stayed until closing. I had such a good time with the trivia, the MC was amazing, the bar tender and staff were so friendly and kind. I recommend Escape for those night You want to have fun. Escape is very LGBTQIA+ friendly. I felt very welcome and very safe here.
Really really really good food there. Nice place, especially for that part of town. What's the PC way to say it? It has an all inclusive atmosphere? People were friendly there.
