Great French style cafe with lots of fresh and already prepared foods. Tons and tons of different food options, so likely something for everyone. There are outdoor seating both in the front and the back.Decent parking both in the front and the back as well.
George (the chef) was INCREDIBLY friendly. I love Oregon for how kind people are but you don’t always get that in Portland. The entire staff was great. The food was also wonderful! I got a queso breakfast burrito, and quite possibly the best corn chowder I’ve ever had.
Absolutely beautiful place great service quality food
A Portland original.Besides all the great food and beverages and facilities and superb staff members, they are fantastic caterers too!P.S.Recently I was in their area and at a postal store and accidentally locked my keys in my car! With my head hung low I asked an associate at Elephants delicatessen for help. They brought out their phone and on their personal account requested a ride service that took me on the round-trip a few miles back home for emergency backup keys and returned to the restaurant. I cannot adequately express how I felt about this deeply empathetic gesture. I am speechless with gratitude. Thank you is hardly sufficient. I was taken care of in an unpleasant circumstance and felt safe and comfortable.Elephants is more than just a great place.Blessings and GratitudeCheersMalcolm
Great space to hang out and get a little of everything. My wife and I popped in and grabbed some espresso and coffee cake after dinner. This place has it all! A full bar, coffee and amazing food much of which is vegan, and GF which my wife always has a hard time finding GF options for dessert. The coffee cake was great. If your near by I HIGHLY recommend stopping by.
I have had breakfast there 3x, and I always have the vegetable frittata, which is more like a casserole, but very tasty. I also really like their almond croissants, and their latte.
This place has great food. While I was in Portland I went here twice. Had a breakfast burrito, then went back later for soup and salad. Cookies looked so good I had to try one of each and they did not disappoint.
This is one of my favorite places I’ve visited in Portland since moving here. Think cafe meets local convince store meets bar meets gift shop. So cute, all the food is top tier lunch material. Also just a great place to chill while you write or read. Sometimes it can get really busy but still worth it.
I love popping in here when I’m too lazy to cook. The breakfast burritos are so good and the microwave take home food is convenient. There’s a good selection and price range for unique drinks. The staff are always really polite:)
Good food and friendly service. Great place to meet for coffee, share a meal, and take something home! I look forward to going back soon
