Our meal at Eem was unforgettable, and probably the best meal we've ever had. We seemed to hit the perfect time, seeing as we waited two minutes before getting sat at the bar as a party of two. We tried the sweet and sour chicken, boneless wings fried to golden perfection and tossed in a sweet and tangy curry sauce, the brisket fried rice, and the white and massaman curries. The curries were perfectly spiced and portioned, both with generous servings of protein, and the rice was delicious. My favorite cocktail of the evening was the boozy slushy "drugs," and I found the service to be both attentive and friendly. Believe the hype; Eem is on another level!

Went earlier tonight. 7/28. We moved to pdx 2 months ago and it's been at the top of our bucket foodie list. It did not disappoint.got there around 5:30 ish pm. ..45 min wait. No prob. Went to Cocina restaurant across street and had a fabulous patron margarita and guacamole and chips. Went back and waited prob another 10 min. Place was packed. It was also 91 degrees out and not super common for Portland I've been told. It felt about 80-90° in the restaurant. There are also huge glass " garage doors" in there that were closed. We saw several patrons and even servers fanning themselves. As dinner progressed it seemed to get more hot. This is a problem and needs to be addressed unfortunately! At these prices y'all can update your AC for weather like this. Other than that ... the Jesus and tequila boozy slushy was fab (had 2) plus a mezcal margarita. Hubby had the " acid test" bourbon cocktail that was amazing. We had the hot cauliflower starter along with the s&s chicken and bbq rice all shared and then the white curry with brisket. The food was pretty spicy but some of the best pdx food I've had. Would give perfect rating if it wasn't for the AC problem which made entire experience a bit problematic. We will definitely be back !

Eem is AWESOME!!! The atmosphere is great and so much fun. They have booths inside with open air via windows, and they have great outdoor seating. The food and drinks are excellent. My favorite is the Massaman curry with lamb. Besides excellent food and a fun atmosphere, Eem has FABULOUS employees. Special thanks to Aloe and Lindsey who are kind, fun, friendly, accommodating, hardworking, and EXCEPTIONAL employees!!!!!

So great just wish it wasn’t as busy or they had a bigger venue. I was lucky to get in definitely better to make reservations or be prepared to wait!! The brisket curry was my favorite!! We felt like the bbq fried rice was lacking compared to the amount of delicious meat that was in the curry!! My brothers favorite was the fried chicken!! Literally Amazing and worth the wait if you can get in!

The food here deserves the hype it’s been getting! We got two different curries and they were both delicious. Service was friendly and decor was trendy. Definitely would stop by again!

It was my first time. FOOD was DELICIOUS. SERVICE was NOT GOOD. I sat at the bar, really cozy, fun and engaging decor. I had the Sweet and Sour Chicken & White Curry w/ Brisket. Both were tasty and had layered complex flavors. HOWEVER, my server (the bartender woman wearing cheetah print), was non-engaging and provided mediocre service. Managed to make eye contact w/ me once, maybe twice during my stay. Was not helpful in explaining the menu or making suggestions, after I mentioned it was my first time. All other staff, I interacted with was friendly, not sure if it was an off-night for her.

If you are looking for a Thai place that is not your average every day Thai restaurant you’ve gotta try this place!Eem is insanely delicious! I don’t think it’s possible to pack more flavor into food. I had their sweet-and-sour fried chicken. Another way to think of this dish is top notch boneless Thai wings. I also had the fried rice and the papaya salad. Everything was so great! I’m going to keep coming back here and try everything on the menu!

Overall: My boyfriend and I are visiting from out of town and this spot was recommended by so many people. We ordered ahead for pickup and it was fast with a convenient order pickup booth outside. I appreciated the simple menu and the fact that each curry was already paired with its protein and veggies. Makes ordering nice and easy. The spice levels listed were also accurate. We’d absolutely come back!Came out to around $50 for two people. Large portions — we were both very full, but didn’t have leftovers. White curry: 5/5 - This was my boyfriend’s order and he loved it and said he’d definitely order it again, even at the expense of not trying something else on the menu haha. I tried a bit of the broth and can say it’s very delicious and unique.Red curry: 5/5 - This is their vegan friendly option and it was so delicious and rich. Cauliflower and king oyster mushroom were the main components. Both curries came with just the right amount of rice. I would have loved if I had the option to choose more spice, but this came with mild spice.Very spicy papaya salad: 4.5/5 - Super delicious and just the right balance of flavors I expect in a papaya salad. Knocking off just a bit for not being as spicy as I expected or would like. It didn’t seem more than medium spice to me. I’ve had spicier papaya salads that weren’t being advertised as especially spicy. Still yummy and I’d order it again. Love pairing it with the curries to cut through the richness.

Mash-up of Thai food and American barbecue. Cocktail - "Drugs"; it's a combination of bitter pineapple, coffee, rum, coconut, and orange.

Maybe my expectations were too high because every one sang such high praises of Eem. The menu was surprisingly small. We had the white curry that everyone said we must have. It’s good but not life altering.Crisp stir fried kailan. The fried chicken was tasty but not extraordinary. The veggie red curry was okay. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The decor was lovely.Food was good but not amazing.
