If I could give less than a single star, I would. Walked in to this absurd establishment and was looked at multiple times by what I can imagine is the owner and for what had to been 10 minutes with nothing said to me or a greeting. Just completely ignored. I eventually left.So after a couple months, I completely forgot and came to find an empty restaurant so sat immediately and ordered…damn good breakfast. Veggie omelette with juice and turkey bacon. It was all very fresh and delicious. $1 charge for 3 very thin slices of avocado.
It was a very okay experience. I ordered scrambled tofu and there was no flavor and not even any salt. I have had much better experiences at a lot of other places. My wife ordered avocado toast and again nothing special there too. It took them about 45 minutes to prepare our order for a group of 6 and everyone else was also equally disappointed. Not visiting this place again.
The first time we went,we had breakfast and it was good. We just had lunch. I had a side salad and it was so small, I asked for chicken salad on top ,about 2 tablespoons on top. But when the bill came I was extremely overcharged for my baby salad! I left hungry and am not sure if I will go back .
My eggs benedict had hard boiled eggs, uncooked ham, untrusted English muffin, and definitely store bought hollandaise.
I can only speak on takeout, everything tasted alright, however there were literally 4 long dark hairs in my daughters California panini, yuck. I understand things happen and hair can fall from clothing and whatnot, but 4?!?!? That’s really gross.
The food looks simple but don’t discredit it :)Please note that the majority of 1-3 star reviews are either take out/delivery or they visited during peak hour. This last time I went was about 50 minutes before closing, and we had a great experience. We were only a party of two but we were able to sit at a 4-top, and our food was delivered to our table less than 10 minutes after ordering.I ordered the breakfast burrito with no sour cream (hence why my plate looks so empty), and the sandwich is the chipotle turkey. The burrito was 3 meals for me, and the sandwich is at least 2 meals. We paid about $13 per meal, and it was worth every penny. This is the most affordable sit-down restaurant in the area (besides a bar/pub), and in my opinion the highest quality. The owner is wonderful, I cannot recommend this establishment enough. Definitely stop by, if not for food at least a smoothie.
After having to wait over 25 minutes for a smoothie I received a voicemail and I listened to it on speaker the waiter (lady) told me I couldn’t listen to it out loud. I proceeded to leave and I decided to tell her I didn’t want the smoothie no more as everyone knows the voicemails are not loud at all and she was just rude! Terrible service.
Down to Earth is easily one of the best restaurants in Multnomah village. I’ve dined in the restaurant several times in the past but I specifically had to write a review because of how amazing the delivery experience was as well. We ordered eggs benedict and a breakfast burrito and I seriously felt like we were dining in. I don’t typically have high expectations for delivery these days because everything is either made poorly, cold by the time it arrives, and/or missing items.I shouldn’t be surprised that even ordering delivery, they did not disappoint. Everything was prepared perfectly, packaged thoughtfully and mindfully, and it was all delicious. The hollandaise and sour cream were packaged separately on the side so nothing was soggy. The eggs were poached perfectly and still warm. The tortilla for the burrito was warm and still intact. It was honestly one of the most high-quality enjoyable meals we’ve had in a while and if you’re wondering whether to eat here the answer is most definitely yes
Excellent food and plenty of it. Some interesting menu items. Quaint simple ambiance. Small and personal. Friendly owner and staff.
Good place to chill and to have vegan food !
