This place is a hidden gem ? definitely has the old Portland style that so many of the new trendy places are missing. I love the decor, the diversity of people and really just everytbing about this place is rad!
One the best dives in all of Portland Oregon! Food is dank, drinks are solid, bar staff is top notch and various dj thru out the week! My “Cheers” spot that I go to frequently!
Good cocktails and tasty eats! They have an awesome heated/covered patio, but the inside is very spacious and nice too. This is also one of the few bars I’ve encountered where the bartenders put in effort to get to know repeat customers. Totally not necessary in my book, but a treat to get to know them and feel so welcomed!
Dots is great for booze and brunch. The menu has shifted a lot over the pandemic and it's not what it used to be so buyer beware. That said, still some of the cheapest drinks in southeast with tons of weird stuff on the walls. Permanent outdoor seating is really lovely for the warmer months.
Fun staff, fun ambiance, great DJs, Bloody Mary’s are perfect, and the biscuits buttery and moist. Always on point. I couldn’t even wait to take a picture of the food!
Went in Friday night, you can still get a pint and a shot for like 7$, can't say that a lot in Southeast. Food is pretty good for bar food. Dj's spinnin wax. Super cool layout and vibes all around. Only problem is the one girl pours the weakest shots and drinks I have ever seen. Other bartender apologized and topped us off so all was good. Definitely coming back for that pulled pork
This place, much like me, used to be cooler. Don’t get me wrong their brunch is bangin’ and overall their food is good. I liked their old menu better though. Also, went there last night and the cocktails the bartender poured were so weak I thought I was at a McMenniman’s. Still has the cool “Dots” vibe it’s just pricier and more pretentious. I’m old tho so maybe you’re into that kinda thing.
Interesting place. Only gripe was they burnt my onion rings I ordered to go. Didn't notice until I got home. Burgers were good. Also no parking.
RIP to old Portland. Dots used to be a cool place to hangout. Now it's just sad. The food is awful (was never good, but it did do the job). It's hard to imagine that you could take the love out of a Portland dive bar classic.
I had the Gentle Ben, which was similar to a vegetarian reuben. Really good. The staff was nice, but having to order drinks and food at the bar made the queue kind of long. Worth it for the food ans vibe.
