Easily my favorite Mexican restaurant! I basically grew up on don pedro (so I may be partisan) but this place has forged a tradition as a mainstay in my life for the past 10 years. The juicy, tender carnitas brightened by the fresh Pico de Gallo has to be one of my favorite flavors ever. I normally order the carnitas tacos but you can't go wrong with the enchiladas plate either. The horchata and tamarind beverages are solid, would fs recommend.Lastly the price has remained reasonable when the price of every other restraunt in the area has skyrocketed. Easily the best Mexican restraunt in sw Portland.
I usually go to the Don Pedro’s in Salem and I always order the breakfast burrito all three meat combo. It’s usually packed with meat and HUGE portion size. Well I decided to try this location since it’s near my workplace and I’m sad to say I was very disappointed with my breakfast burrito. It was very small and hardly any meat. I had to rip some tortilla out to balance the burrito due to not enough meat.
Every time I'm craving for Mexican food for breakfast I stop here. Drive through is quick early in the morning. Their tacos are always fresh and tasty, not a huge size, which is perfect for me. My husband likes their Chile rellenos and Carne Asada fries.
Very decent and comfort Mexican food with fast service and reasonable price. It’s one of the best essential food services in the neighborhood. We order their food about twice a week, so without this restaurant our life will be very different… Wish they always have good business! Highly recommended!
Simply the best Mexican food in this area. Their food is really good! Personally love the Enchiladas Verde with soft tacos as a side. They have an amazing green sauce I assume is guacamole. All orders come with house made tortilla chips as well!
Great place for a breakfast burrito. Huevos rancheros is also very good the price is were better until covid screwed everything up. I remember it used to be $4.50 for a breakfast burrito now it's like 8 bucks. Way better than fast food though and equivalent pricing. Definitely would go here over any fast food place for breakfast lunch or dinner.
Great place and really clean. However, went to eat there twice last week and both times I had stomach problems. Had different meats/meals. It's pretty rare for me since I have a very strong stomach and eat everything and super spicy. Maybe there's some cross contamination going on. Not coming back sadly. Also no salsa bar.
I have eaten at the Hillsboro Don Pedro several times, very good food. My daughter and I went through drive through at this location yesterday and had to throw our food out. The breakfast burrito was totally dry and chewy and tasted awful. Adding hot sauce made it even worse! My daughter said the the tamale smelled and tasted like dirty feet! Will never eat here again! Gross!
You guys need to seriously do something about whoever is making the carne asada.I paid $9 for 4 tiny tacos less than 3 bites each. They gave me nothing but chewy beef fat with onion on oily tortillas.If you need tips on how to cook properly call the don pedros in portland on 122nd and they can school you.Im never coming back here and if you like real carne asada you shouldnt either.
