The Delta Csfe is back in my list of restaurants! After a few poor experiences several years ago, I had stopped going. But given the chore of finding food for dinner the other night after a long day of work and my craving for catfish, I gave Delta Cafe another try since they are close by. I am so very glad I did! The front desk service was spectacular and friendly! The food was delicious and still at a great temp when I got the food home, my order was correct, and it didn't cost us much. If you like Southern comfort food, try it!

The food here is really good, but I have experienced some of the WORST customer service here. Completely ignored when coming to pick up orders for Doordash delivery. More than once. Waited 15 minutes and had to ask a second time if the order was ready. It had been sitting there for who knows how long and worker did not inform me it was ready. Another time I was ignored and then finally given the order that was sitting out ready for who knows how long, only to realize the drink with the order was missing. Had to wait an extra 5-7 minutes for them to make the drink while the food got cold. Then I went over to the bar to see what was taking so long, and got a really smirky remark from staff. I will never eat or delivery from this place again. Workers have a lack of urgency and ZERO respect for delivery drivers.

Update: two years later and three starts still applies. Not because the food was bad, but because of little things. A cold side of hollandaise sauce, fruit flies follow the ice tea.Original Review:Ya know, maybe it was because we ordered off the happy hour menu, but my take away from the Delta was just "meh".The hush puppies were over fried and really hard. The remoulade sauce (or whatever that dipping sauce was) was ok for about two bites but then it just started tasting weird. The chicken po'boy was on a broken bun that spilled all the contents. Chicken was ok, but nothing special. For what I was always told was a great place to eat in Portland it didn't really deliver. It was ok, ya know, but nothing that wowed me.

Extremely fast food service, incredible food SO TASTY, and helpful staff - they made subs to the menu for allergies and diet happily.

Superb stuff on every level.

Well coincidentally I was in the mood for Cajun food. And we ran into this bar not knowing they served Cajun food. Well needless to say my shrimp poboy was delicious. And my girlfriends jambalaya was excellent. Cornbread was a bit plain and overbaked. But I would highly recommend to come to this bar for excellent Cajun food.

can’t believe how lifeless the food was, just spent $50 on 2 meals that went to waste.

My first time ever going there it was a very classy and quaint place with Great service n food!!!

First time but always wanted to come in! Still doing takeout and fast, courteous service. We had the Mama's Fried Chicken and the Fried Catfish. Everything was on par though the cornbread was a bit cold. Would love to come back for more! Looks like they have some holiday desserts on the menu~

Okay guys, I'm going to give some much needed constructive criticismBrisket that is sliced 1" thick might be okay, if it wasn't the consistency of a baseball mit. Truly the worst I've ever had. Inedible.Don't put tomatoes on red beans and rice. Ever. Just don't. Also, when using rice as a base for a topping like red beans, let the rice dry just slightly so it doesn't end up a clump of sticky starch.Lifeless and heavy cornbread that I could easily beat with a box of jiffy mix and a spoonful of honeyColeslaw was pretty good ?I sincerely hope that the management takes this to heart. I dine out over 15 times a week, all over the country, and no one anywhere wants food like this for any reason, for any price.
