Awesome spot. We got the Boun Burger, Breakfast Burrito, and an Uncle Nutty donut — for under $20! They were all great and quite filling. If I lived in town this would be my regular breakfast spot.
How have I not reviewed DD all these years?! Absolutely love this shop and their donuts. Penny, Boun, and their employees are the friendliest people. It's a mom and pop shop with classic donuts (best Apple Fritter!) and then new ones that are spectacular (that PB&J is chef's kiss) and crazy delicious (all the Ube ones and the Hibiscus Tea). Years ago I also discovered their Grand Ave Breakfast Burger which is insanely good. Don't tell your doctor about it. Lastly, I love ordering special event donuts. Penny will make your donut dreams come true, from birthday and anniversary donuts for a crowd, to sweet (or sexy) messages for that special someone.
Excellent customer service and very helpful with the selections. We got there a few minutes before they were closing up and they still took our request for a doughnut and made it a little extra special and made it into a cinnamon roll burger and it was amazing. Thank you for your great customer service and all your help you will definitely see us again.
Go get yourself a pride donut… So many other donut options too! I really enjoyed the old fashioned maple too. Very reasonable priced for Portland!
If you need more encouragement than the fact that their doughnuts are delicious.. know that their owners are AMAZING (and so is the breakfast!) and they go out of their way to make every customer feel like a friend. Parking situation can be tough when its busy but fully worth a visit!
The donuts are seriously so delicious, and the other breakfast options are incredible. I could of gotten a breakfast sandwich from Starbucks right up the road (frozen to heat it) or a fresh cooked one by Penny! Seriously amazing I hope they stay in business as long as I’m alive because I wanna be eating here when I’m 90.
This has been my favorite Donut shop since they opened in 2008. I discovered this shop on my way to work accidentally when I made a quick stop at the quick mart next door. I go there now just to see Boun and Penny, see the kids (no longer babies), and pick up donuts to take home. I used to buy a dozen for the office but now 14 years later I have retired. Boun and Penny own and operate and make the donuts in this marvelous shop.The Delicious Donuts are just the start of a wonderful experience. I can only tell you about the donuts... so far! I wanted some premium donuts delivered. At first i thought $31 for the premium/fun donuts they had was a bit steep but I'm like whatever, you only live once and i was craving some good donuts. I was not disappointed. The driver left my delivery at the door as instructed. I reached one hand out to pick up the box and was shocked, that was not going to be enough. Thats how dense these are. This box was heavy for a dozen donuts! Opened the box to see some very decadent donuts. I'm a big guy too and 2 was enough for me. And in fact 1 will probably be enough for most folks as i probably didn't need that 2nd one but i wanted to dive into another of these delicious monstrosities. This was an experience and a joy, Thank you! Easily 5 stars. If you get these i suggest getting a few friends to help!
Such great people and delicious (ha!) doughnuts. My favorite was the apple fritter — it’s enormous! We came here on a bike tour with Around Portland Tours and we’re so glad we discovered this local secret
This doughnut shop is very mediocre. I feel they do not brand themselves to stand out from other doughnut shops. The doughnut I had was fair tasting. 3 star review.
