Really good franchise restaurant. Very good food for those that want a good friend country style dinner. The porkchop Saturday special is delicious and worth waiting for.

Staff was great, however the dumplings which are supposed to be a signature dish there, was terrible. From resembling an under cooked pasta which were doughy and then served partially warm. Really a shame as we were looking forward to a good hearty lunch. Portion sizes don't make sense either, as their dinner portion was almost twice the size as the lunch portion, with an extra side for only $1.40 more. Only four bite sized pieces of chicken was included on the "chicken and dumplings."
Not enough gravey for the Biscuits. also felt rushed. Never came to refill coffee. Should have went to Dennys
First we arrive about 5:30 pm and are told there’s a 20 minute wait time even though there’s only two of us and at least a dozen empty tables in just the small portion we can see. Clearly they want you to shop their country store and buy impulse items. Finally called our name closer to 30 minutes and still a ton of empty tables. Got seated and then the server finally shows up and gives us two glasses of water and disappears for 10 minutes. Brings back some nasty corn bread muffins that are dry as hell. Another 15 minutes and the food arrives. Green beans look like they were scooped out of a can! Worst food ever. Don’t go there. Plenty of other choices in the area.
It was good food at a reasonable price.
We use to love going here for the atmosphere. We always get sat at horrible tables. The waiters and waitresses are not so good at their jobs. The Jantzen Beach location in Oregon is a little weird and woke as is most places surrounding this area. So, the best thing to do with the bad business is not to return.
We enjoyed our dinner! Fast and friendly service even when we arrived 25 mins before closing. I ordered the lemon pepperTrout, it's my favorite so I get it every time. Also got the loaded sweet potato this time which was tasty. My mom loved her bacon chicken and daughter loved the steak. Their prices are pretty good compared to other places. I do wish the green beans were fresh instead of canned, but that's my only negative. Their gift shop is amazing, the best around! There were so many things I wanted to buy!
Honestly, two stars is only because the service was great. Everyone was extremely nice, and no one could have stopped what happened. It's the food. Oh, the food. And I knew it would be the way it is. Within five minutes of taking the first bite I started to feel it, and by the time I was done with my meal I was beginning to think I was going to be sick. I grew up with cracker barrel's all over town, and they were never really that good, but they were passable. This place is not.
Great food and everything I hoped for with all the trimmings of okra and cornbread, potpie and meatloaf. But the best part aside from the peach tea was the service. Everyone had a great customer service attitude. Plus there was security everywhere and made us feel free to enjoy the experience. The gift shop had the most beautiful children clothes plus the old time feel of an old candy shop. Lots of gifts. Would have loved more gifts with Cracker Barrel logo but still had tons to buy. Loved loved loved it
