Wish I didn’t have to write this review as i really wanted to like this place. I was looking forward to a great night out with my friends and cousin I hadn’t seen in a long time. We were the only people of color in the bar and when we requested karaoke songs, they were skipped. When we finally spoke up and asked why, the staff got upset and kicked us out. I have never experienced such poor service in Portland and I am still in disbelief as I write this. Maybe people were having a bad night and it isn’t a common occurrence, but this behavior needs to be addressed. Will not be going back.
Racist Kareoke host on Friday nights! And racist bartender. Kareoke host became unhinged after friend inquired about song order. Proceeded to tell the bartender to kick us out (for context we were the only people of color in the bar). Bartender then proceeded to tell me and friend that she had the power to kick us all out and said “ as a matter of fact why don’t you all leave”. Again, unprovoked simply after I inquiered as to why my friend was being kicked out. This made me very upset and I did cuss at her due to the fact that we were being treated poorly. I’ve never felt so disrespected in my life. If you are a person of color- do not give this establishment your money! The people working there are on a power trip and are incapable to have a conversation/ give explanations for their behavior.
The food and service here are great, but the place itself is filthy. I found a cider on tap I liked, so I went there every day for 4 days in a row, the same tooth pick was on the floor right at the bar everytime I went there, which prompted me to not return. Some tables have bistro style feet, and have not been cleaned underneath for at least several months.I would give them 5 stars if they bothered to clean the place regularly, but it's been filthy a long time. Because of this, my visits are fairly rare.
Not going to lie, it was difficult to decide what to rate the Clubhouse. I've been here quite a few times but it was mostly before COVID. Friends wanted to go to breakfast there last weekend so I said sure.I ordered my breakfast and the only thing that was correct on my plate was the hash browns, which is universal on almost all breakfast plates.Wrong eggs, wrong meat, wrong toast. I could understand if it was super busy since she was working by herself but the rush didn't hit until after we already had our food. I don't know if it was written down wrong, the cook screwed it up or I just got someone else's plate of food. My friend's breakfast orders were done correctly so I really don't know.I hate sending food back, even if the order is completely wrong so I just ate it, and it tasted good, which is a plus. Also, the rush had just hit so I didn't want to take up more of her time as she was running around from table to table.
This place is great!! The staff, the food, the company, drinks, location and atmosphere!! All of it is worth the trip!

Very nice beer bartender. Asked if I wanted anything to drink AMF helped me right away when I needed it. If go back here. The food was bigger then I expected.
Service was good. The chicken sandwich seemed like it was from Costco and thrown in the fryer.
