Cliffs should be the example all restaurants follow. Very friendly with one of the owners on the floor and the other in the kitchen; no wait and outdoor dining; very reasonably priced; food is soooo good. We got nachos and French fries which you would think would be the same as the next person but not at all. The fries were perfect with their homemade ranch and the nachos had homemade chips, perfect avocado, delicious salsa and beans. It seems rare to find a place these days with even two of these features. Highly recommend!
My family and I popped in here for a quick snack and a cocktail in the afternoon and we had a great experience. Great atmosphere, good music at the perfect volume, drinks arrived quickly and were delicious. I had a margarita and enjoyed it immensely. We also share a nacho plate, it was a huge serving and oh man were they sooo good. Highly recommend!! The chips were homemade and so crispy. Next time I'm in Portland I will definitely be back.
We go to this place too much and that’s not a bad thing. Creative and tasty cocktails. Don’t miss the Friday fish fry (please save me a seat though). I don’t know any other place that has fresh fried walleye! The owners are so nice and make everything from scratch. Every dish is tasty! One of our local favorites!
I cannot even describe how DELICIOUS the food is here!! We stopped by while awaiting reservations at another bar and ended up having dinner here. The burger was to die for and seriously the best burger I’ve ever had. We also had the pulled pork nachos and a plate of tater tots and our table immediately thought we ordered too much food, only to eat almost every drop it was so good. The service was amazing, drinks were amazing, food was INCREDIBLE cannot recommend enough. Even had the chance to speak with the owner who was so sweet. Our new go to spot!
Cool place to chill and grab a cocktail or food in the local neighborhood. It gets super busy when there is a show next door, but the bartenders are quick and able to get you what you need without a long wait.
Friendly staff, delicious pub food with an interstate interesting twist, a good beer selection, and great cocktails!
So. Freaking. Good. We swung by for dinner and drinks before a show at the Wonder Ballroom, and boy am I glad we did. The smoked fried chicken sandwich was to die for. Seriously, the picture does not do it justice. The nachos were incredible, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. We will definitely be going back.
Cliffs is our absolute favorite place in town. It's the local secret with amazing food and superb service. We have to stop ourselves from coming everyday! The ever rotating specials and drinks keep us interested but the solids on the menu never disappoint. This place is a 10/10 with comfort feels, good people and quality above all
Delicious craft cocktails and super tasty fish fry on Fridays. This hidden gem has experts behind the bar and in the kitchen. It’s a great stop for those who love craft cocktails and wonderful people. Walk in and you’ll see, they’ve cultivated a unique feel in Portland.In addition to delicious food and drink, they regularly do fundraisers for charity and give back to the community. During the pandemic, they started an orphaned bartender series where bartenders (who lost their job during the pandemic) made up a cocktail recipe and got a % of every one of those cocktails sold at the bar.Just to say - get the witchcraft, get the dirty fries, get the steak with mushroom cream sherry sauce ?, get a cozy booth or a seat at the bar with their great bartenders. And if you’re feeling adventurous, ask the folks behind the bar for a recommendation and get something special.
The staff was helpful, informative, and really nice! If you're looking for a place with alt ambiance this place is for you! However, I suggest sticking to water, the glasses served to me with beer were still soapy.
