BEST fried chicken in Portland! Potato salad is homemade and delicious, jo-jos and dilly dip are a MUST have! OMG, I LOVE the cook and he's hilarious! Thank you for making my sister 60th Birthday Party amazing and special with the delicious food you made us. OH! The freaking rolls were sliced, buttered and melt in your mouth. Thank you!!I❤U!
Heard this place was pretty good, but wasn't prepared for the deliciousness! Their onion rings gave a giant portion of some of the best onion rings I have ever eaten. Could not finish them, but they were a great late night treat, along with the chicken breast and slaw I never got to. A house salad was fresh and tasty. But I took lots of food home. Very pleasant surprise and great service!
I loved this place as a teenager! I was quite surprised that the taste and quality were still the same. The Spuds were worth the drive.
We ordered a whole chicken dinner. Received giant box of yummy fried chicken, soooo many jojos, pillow-soft biscuits and amazing dipping sauce,+ a side of macaroni salad. Much better deal than fast food chicken places.
Zero stars would be chosen if the option was available.. the choice for wings changed from 1lb or 2. To 6 or 12 wings. The cost was$15.The 12 wings I received were honestly the SMALLEST. I have ever received in over 50 different restaurants wing orders in my 50 plus years... My generic ranch sauce from the grocery store was thicker than the water they passed off as ranch dressing... Tough times should not equate to ripping off the customer.
They do it up right in front of you directly behind the register. Chicken is cooked fresh and hot and theJo Jo's are one of a kind made the same as I remember them in the old beaverton mall day's. That store closed ?
If you like those out of the way dive bar places that only the locals know about this is the place for you. They are known for their chicken but they also have awesome potato salad and wedges. We had both the dill dip that comes with the fries and ranch. The dill was a little too much on the mayo side for me.
Loved this franchise as a child in the 70's and 80's and enjoyed it when I discovered it at this location a few years ago, but I was pretty disappointed on my latest visit. Lil John spuds were fantastic, but the classic dill sauce was really thick and surprisingly tasteless. Worst of all was the badly overcooked chicken - dry (but also oily) and tough. Not sure that I will ever make the effort to go back, since it is really out of the way for me.
Had the fried chicken. It was good. The service was a bit slow but they were at shift change and it appeared like they were understaffed. This is not unusual these days. Regardless, the waitress was friendly even though quite busy.
Great food. Nasty employees. Beware the small angry thing with the oversized glasses. She behaves like a hormonal teenager when you try to have a calm, adult dialogue with her.
