What a local gem. Service is top notch. Lots of seating including outdoors. Festive decor. Wait on a Saturday night was about 15 minutes. Ordered the carne asada chimichunga. Love the tender meat and they don't use fillers. Beans are just how I love them. Chips are nice, light and fresh. Attentive service kept us with full drinks and plenty of chips.

The wait staff were super friendly and the food was alright. I got grilled shrimp which was good which came with rice but they put melted cheese all over it. I like my food more on the plain side so I was not happy with the dish. Shared it with my housemate and she did not care for it either. It do not say anything on the menu about having melted cheese on it. Anyway. I won't go back or at least i will send the dish back the next time.

I want to say our service there was great! He was prompt friendly and funny! But the reason I'm giving this such a low rating is that it was probably the worst food I've ever had dinning out to eat. I had ordered a combo plate number two tacos with ground beef. I ended up with shredded pork and I know that because my friend had ordered the pork and it was the exact same. I had a margarita and it just didn't taste right. Maybe I choose a bad tequila but the mix was bland and my drink tasted like watery tequila and a whisper of the lime I squeezed in there. The atmosphere was neat and quirky. But the food was just awful.

Great food and amazing service, can’t recommend enough. Two servers in addition to our regular waiter checked up on us regularly, ensuring everything was to our satisfaction. Food was delivered to our table less than 10 minutes after ordering, sadly no pictures because we munched it down too quickly. We will definitely return!

I've returned to Casa Colima a couple of times during Covid times, both during the summer and the winter. Their patio out back has enough hanging plastic sheeting to protect customers from the elements, while letting in enough fresh air to at least give the illusion of not being completely indoors. The food retains their solid, old-school presentation. Sometimes, I'm in the mood for the classics, accompanied by rice and cheese-covered refried beans. Casa Colima is happy to deliver on all fronts.During a recent leisurely lunch, the Christmas playlist served up (by my count) at least 5 different versions of the song Feliz Navidad. Despite the potent earworm qualities of this particular song, I'm considering it a very positive part of my experience, going beautifully with my combination plate. (BTW, I chose a medium sized combo, and it was plenty of food).

Great family restaurant. Great Mexican dishes and made with good ingredients. No skimping here. Good for work, friends, family, and couples. Also good drinks from the bar! :D

Amazing service. Mango margarita is on point. Good was amazing. Now one of our favorite restaurants for lunch or dinner.

Great food and authentic atmosphere. Tables and chairs are from Mexico. Beautifully done. Will definitely eat here my next time in Portland. Bravo!

The servers were very nice and the price was pretty decent but I wasn't a huge fan of the food. Towards the end of the burrito I found some white fatty looking thing in my food which ended my meal for me. Probably a random event but it was enough to make me not want to go back.

I heard from someone that this place served homemade tortillas and they don't. That was not the problem our server seem to care slightly about us instead the busboy was incredibly on it we thought he should've been a server instead. Anyway, i might come back who knows i just don't like it when a server doesn't even make eye contact with the customer. I am a server and i know that eye contact is important at least to show that you are listening or interested on the customer... anyway food was good?‍♀️
