This restaurant is a must whether you are gf/df or not! I am gf/df and I could eat anything on the menu. The Pho is OUTSTANDING. The 48hr broth was so delicious. The pad Thai was the best I've had, maybe ever. The egg rolls are better than any I've had in many many years. They are friendly, caring and so helpful.
Fun vibe. Good food. Welcoming atmosphere. I was alone in the city but did not feel alone here. The staff were also very understanding when I realized I had taken my wallet out in my hotel room last-minute. I came back with it just after closing, and they were still friendly. This is a happy place!
10/5 stars loved this place! As a fully gluten free restaurant I was so excited to eat here and be able to order anything off the menu which is a rarity for me and especially with Asian food restaurants. They clearly are really proud of what they’ve been able to accomplish with this restaurant and the staff were really nice and funny. I got Pho (ugly bowl) and egg rolls which were both delicious! If you have celiac or any gluten intolerance this is a must try when you’re in Portland.
This place was a wonderful find And I will definitely be coming back. The food here is a good combination of multiple types of Asian cuisine. The owner of the restaurant was very nice and personable making sure to check in on us regularly. They made a point to inform us of all of the special things that make them unique such as their different house made sauces and exceptionally long bone broth marinating times. There is also a karaoke stand at the front which you are allowed to use and which was used to by the owner to serenade us. Such a fun place.
I really enjoyed this place! I'll be coming back for sure! I love the decor and authentic food! The conversations with the staff made this place excellent. The butterfly bowl was perfect with the different meats and the addition of the mixed veggies. If you are visiting Portland I recommend this place, tastes soo good!
I went to the lovely place for dinner one night about three years ago on a trip I went by myself to Portland and didn’t write a review for it then because I honestly don’t write reviews ever, but due to it being a core memory years later I thought it’s time to write one. The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing, the food was really good and unique (they make their own meatballs for pho from scratch, not like the meatballs you find at most pho places!), and the owners were incredibly sweet and made the experience very memorable to me. The couple that owned it checked in with me often and asked me a lot of questions and just wanted to make sure I was okay and safe as a woman traveling alone to a new place. They were very caring and kept me company the whole time. If I lived in Oregon I would definitely be a regular there. Would recommend!
Amazing experience; food was fresh, flavorful, and you could taste the love. Owners were super friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcomed. My friend and I were entertained while the owner played a song on his guitar and sang for us. The staff had great recommendations. We will be coming back here for sure!So happy they had options for everyone! They have things for every dietary restriction:)
Owners had great personality. Location of the restaurant is great. Maybe I'll sing next time I'm there.
Our daughter is diagnosed celiac, and this was the first and ONLY restaurant we have been able to order without worry. The food was amazing. The pork egg rolls are something my daughter thought she would never have again. Pho, Rice, Chicken Wings ALL Fantastic. The owners were amazing. This place should be featured on Guys Dinner's Drive ins and Dives.
I have an odd food allergy - no onion and no garlic - and the owner guided me to dishes I can eat!! Amazing! There was none of the "let me go check with the kitchen" and cross your fingers they actually read the ingredient lists for ALL of the sauces. I had the Pad Thai with chicken and fish sauce. Oh, and it was delicious! I'll gladly be back!
