On the verge of standard pub fare. Bunk used to be better. Had a turkey club and it was OK, nothing special really, but the turkey was thick cut. Since when do you order a sandwich or a burger in a pub and it doesn’t come with some fries? (even the photo from Bunk Bar from a year ago she was fries on the plate) A simple garnish would’ve been nice…sprig of parsley? If you order a sandwich you get a sandwich on a plate, if you order a burger you get a burger on a plate. Thankfully, we ordered the loaded tots, but those aren’t as loaded as they used to be either. Maybe it’s inflation, maybe it’s Russia, maybe it’s Covid, maybe it’s door dash and Uber eats, but I definitely think there’s some cost cutting going on here.
Lucky the Bunk bar was right there when the freight train stopped on the tracks for over an hour last week! Was able to leave my car, run in for a cocktail and drink it on the side walk covered patio while waiting. Super friendly and fast service. Plus they don't use that nasty white grapefruit juice, it's pink. Tito's and grapefruit is my drink!
We had The Bunk Cubano, Meatball Parmesano Hero and Loaded Mac & Cheese. The meatball sandwich and Cubano were both so delicious, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside ?. (Actually, I wanted to try the Pork Belly Cubano, but it was not on the menu.)? The lemonade was delicious with real lemons shaken into it.
Truly one of my favorite spots in Portland! cubano is great, loaded Mac and cheese is delicious, and the iceberg is always worth it. Just a bit bummed by how long the food takes sometimes, but that’s the service industry right now and I don’t knock them for that!
Went on a quite day. The food was good. Tables were clean, drinks were awful. But that was my fault. Haha sorry. Don't order Jack and ginger ale.Scooters and bikes near location. Parking is limited, but available.
The pulled pork has been consistently good since they opened years ago. Good mozz sticks and tots. Typhoon Shandy please!
Great sandwiches, and the iceberg is an interesting drink I would suggest trying. Mac and cheese was good too.
Bunk has excellent food, but they don't open until noon. Pretty late for lunch, especially in an industrial district where people go to work early. I would eat there for lunch several times a week if they opened at 11.
I had the chicken salad with bacon & avocado. It was even better than I imagined. I could taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients and the ratio of bread to insides and condiments was spot on. Moist & delicious!
I saw Swervedriver there in 2019 for 2 nights and the staff were AMAZING! The gentleman at the door actually held on to one of the concert posters and gave it to me on the way out. Truly GREAT experience here!
