If you spend any amount of time in Vietnam you pretty quickly learn that no matter how sketchy a place looks from the outside, if it's one thing to never doubt them for before trying is when it's food, and this definitely holds true here! Very delicious BBH with authentic taste especially the soup, the classic thick noodles were done just right, and the sate/spice was also very good. Amazing service and the food came really quickly. Highly recommend and will definitely be back the next time I'm in Portland!

I got the Hu Tieu hoac Mi Thap Cam(number 27 on the menu, $14.50). I got it to-go. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. They took great care to package my food so that the broth didn't leak or spill. The food itself was also good, all the meats were cooked correctly (not overcooked) and it came with a bag of bean sprouts and Thai basil(?). I love Bean sprouts so I really appreciated the hearty helping. Everything smelled amazing and tasted even better. Great portion size for the price as well.

If you like Pho - you must try this: I was told that "Bun Bo Hue" is good, but my expectations were blown away. The broth was so DELICIOUS & SAVERY. I squeezed the lime, added all the veggies, and mixed everything... It was PERFECTION. All of the meats were TENDER and YUMMY. It was so satisfying that I emptied the bowl completely. This will be my go-to "Bun Bo Hue" destination (less than a 30-minute drive from Beaverton or Vancouver). 5-stars. If you are new to Vietnamese food - I suggest that you omit the congealed blood cube. They also serve many other traditional dishes, but "Bun Bo Hue" is their BEST SELLER. It did not disappoint. 5-stars is no exaggeration... The building & decore were not fancy, but the FOOD was AMAZING. Additionally, the fish sauce is for dipping only!

The employees and customer service was great. Everyone was very welcoming and the food was ready within a reasonable time. There were bathrooms available in the restaurant. There was plenty of seating and spacing between tables. The food itself was okay. The chicken pho was flavorful but something was missing. The chicken was a bit dry as well. The bun bo hue also lacked a bit of flavor. It had plenty of meat. You are able to ask for sauces separately. They had Sriracha but no hoisin sauce. We might have come on a bad day or something. We were really hoping this place would be amazing because of the reviews.

Second time’s a charm. First attempt, I came around 4PM and found it to be closed, even though google states 8PM closing hour. Walked around back and owner told me they ran out of broth. Came back the next day, earlier, around noon. The Bo bun hue was flavorful and tasty. I usually tolerate blood cakes but the ones in this dish were the best I’ve ever had, actually the highlight of the dish. The chicken wings were a bit below average. Service was nice and cordial.

My friend really likes this place and comes here often. In fact, he frequents this place so often he doesn't even need to order anymore! He sits down and they bring him his order!! Talk about a creature of habit and familiarity! If he brings company then the staff will stop by the table and ask what everybody wants to eat...Not a very large venue, decent amount of seating. Open kitchen...sorta. You can definitely take a peek and see what the staff is doing. Parking can be a bit challenging, I don't remember a parking lot nearby, but we were able to find street parking right outside the restaurant...so the parking Gods were definitely smiling upon us that day!I wasn't too sure what to expect since Man Jose has some brilliant offerings in Viet cuisine. I gotta say after eating here, Bun Bo Hue is on par with anything in Man Jose ;-)16. Bún bò Huế - 5/5Good size bowl...some generous portions! Tasty broth and a different type of noodle...not familiar with the thicker noodles they used. Can't forget to mention the big old pieces of Pork Blood cubes...great meal for the Winter weather.

Such a gem i found today! Delicious bun bo hue and surprisingly friendly staff? I got the small size and it has enough meat and noodles. Spicy level was a bit lower, but the owner offered to give us extra sauce next time! The place does smell a bit off, but i think its because of the fish sauce used in many other dishes, which I didn't mind too much. I will def be back!

Came in here on my way home from California. Definitely one of the best bowls of BBH I’ve ever had. Service is quick and friendly, I’d eat here again for sure.

The location not easy to find, look at the pictures gift the hints. Ordered pho from hue, the menu name same with the store. The soup based is different, cooked with shrimp paste or belacan if you are familiar with Malaysian food. Initialy the smell not so good but once you eat it then you will surprise with the taste.

This is the classic spot to get some BBH and also has some very strong Vietnamese iced coffee. The place has some some upgrades over the years and has an expanded menu, but the most popular dish is still their BBH. The place is a no frills type of place where you eat and leave within half hour tops.
