Really nice atmosphere with a great drink selection. Lots of cool spirits and some nice rotating taps. There are high tables, bar, sofas, regular tables. Really very eloquent. The food was really nice. We had some of the small plates and shared everything. The wings were perhaps the least favourite but the mussels, shrimp, and asparagus were all excellent!

Terrific brunch, we ordered the smoked beef ribs, shrimp and grits and apple cake donuts. All were delicious, the ribs were super tender, smoky and paired perfectly with the rest of the plate. Loved the fried grits, crispy on the outside and cream interior.Service was on point and cocktails were great!

Good food and ambience. Like most places, I presume the flaws are due to too few staff. Our food, which was tasty and well prepared, came out 40 minutes after order. I finally inquired, and it was quickly brought, being told it was "just plated". That was not true. It had obviously stood for quite a while. They were "out of" menu items at our 7PM seating. Signs of the times, but disappointing. Keep expectations low, and enjoy your time.

Went here twice during a 4 night stay in Portland. Jim, our server, was great and seemed to be carrying the entire dining room on his back. Food was also great (probably the best mac and cheese we've ever had) and reasonably priced. Nice ambience with a view of the kitchen or bar from nearly every seat.

Visiting Portland. Mistakenly thought this was a traditional bar type restaurant. It's far more pretentious than that. Wildly over priced menu. Charging $24 for a very average burger doesn't make it foodie. It just makes it expensive. My advice. Go to McDonald's and spend your money on something more worthwhile. This is not it!

This place is a gem! If you’re next door at Good Coffee, this is right on the other side. They have a vegan sweet potato taco, that really is great. Many places don’t have a solid vegan option, but definitely a must visit if you’re in Portland! If you’re a fan of pickle backs- recommend getting the trio flight of mezcal, aquavit, and bourbon. You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent food and service. Friendly staff and an open kitchen. Everything was perfectly cooked and expertly presented. My only possible complaint was that the restrooms were far from the dining room through the hotel lobby. I will definitely be back for brunch the next time I am in Portland. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a high quality meal in a comfortable setting.

Dear people, I'm generally VERY particular about dishing out praise for dining establishments, to a fault, probably. I'm extremely picky and I expect everything from seasonings to food temperature to be near perfect for any restaurant that's nicer than fast food...drives my wife crazy, how exacting I can be.All that said, I can't express how pleased I am to give Bullard Tavern five enthusiastic stars. Everything from the service to the cocktails to the food was nothing short of a revelation. Delicious and fun and satisfying at every turn. Stylish, hip location that delivers the goods. The Shrimp and Grits, San Antonio Chicken, and the burger were all memory-makers. We'll be back!

Very delicious Brunch, nice staff and very good service. We enjoyed food, coffee and the drink. Highly recommended.
