Swedish food Bad parking very difficult to find a spot Polite staff and both outside and inside dining. Both breakfast and lunch menu The swedish hotdogs were wrapped in a tortilla and had shrimp and potatoes with pickled vegetables and salad were delicious in different ways. Swedish pancakes and vegetarian hash are good
Both of our breakfast items were delicious - especially loved the veggie hash with the tiniest diced potatoes! Bloody Mary was balanced well with a perfect amount of heat and spice. The espresso martini was very sweet so we opted for the Last Nord instead and that was FAB. Will be back to make it through the rest of the menu and sample lunch :)
This Scandinavian breakfast place has great food and excellent service! All the staff are soo nice and helpful. We ordered danish pancakes (it's a must), seasonal fritters, and breakfast sandwich. Sooo gooood! We are visiting from Chicago. If we ever get a chance to visit Portland again, we'll make sure to come visit you guys again!!
It is worth the wait! Impressive drink menu to compliment the food. I had the pear mimosa and a ginger spiced chai latte. The Danish pancakes are delicious, order more than four. The seasonal fruit fritter hit the spot.
Great food and service. We appreciated the heaters for covered outdoor dining. We arrived at 9am (on a Sunday) when they opened and did not have to wait, so would recommend arriving when they open on the weekend to avoid a wait.
I was excited to come to this cafe. I heard their food was exceptional, but sadly I didn’t get to try it because it was outside seating without proof of vaccination and it was 25 degrees outside.I feel like the company should make this information more readily available online.
The service was terrible, staff was rude. We forgot our vax cards and it didn’t say online you needed it. So they seated us outside on one of the coldest days of the year with half of a heater after a 20 minute wait finally came and brought us menus. We were so frustrated with the service and felt so unwelcome that we left before ordering. 0/10 don’t recommend. The menu looks great, but people remember how you make them feel. We felt unwelcome. It doesn’t matter how good your food is if the environment is miserable.
Amazing food. I would absolutely go to breakfast here constantly if I lived in Portland. The eggs were so beautiful and perfect. I got the Lefse which I believe is something they have that rotates because on the menu is tells you to ask your server about it. I forgot to do this, and so I went in blind with what I was going to get. It turned out to be apples, brie, and mustar. It was delicious. I love the idea that is staple on their menu gets changed up, their special if it were. The wait was long, but you get why. They have coffee outside for you to serve yourself while you wait, so very little to complain about, if there were anything to complain about at all.
We were super excited to try out Broder, but after waiting 45 min for a hash and breakfast sandwich, nearly all of that excitement withered away. The food was average, and our server didn’t seem to realize our food had taken so long until we reached out for an update. We had a terrible experience, but hoping this was just an off day for the kitchen/wait staff.
Love Broder! This is my least favorite of the 3, but it’s still great. Yummy food and drink!
