Got the bacon, egg and cheese bagel. Delicious. Coffee was awesome too. All vegan.Limited street parking but I had no issues at 8am.Few indoor seats if you want to sit and eat your food.
The grand puba was so good and filling. The matza soup tasted homemade not overly salty at all. I haven’t tried the other sandwiches but the grand puba is very big.
Prices aren’t bad, but everything was exceptionally bland and pretty dry. The deli by the pound were all pretty low prices, but I ended up having to remake everything because it even lacked salt and pepper. The egg salad was just wet tofu and dill, some veganaise and seasonings and it sprung up so much more
This is some of the best-executed food in Portland, vegan or non-vegan. I am underwhelmed by most vegan options. B&E’s really nails it. Delicious rye bread. Out of this WORLD cream cheese - as good as normal cream cheese and then some. Delicious egg salad and chicken salad really hit the spot for my cravings. I will be back a dozen times over. I used the delivery option on their website with great success.
amazing and comforting food at a cute little all-vegan deli. had an egg and cheese bagel for $8 and lox for $12. all out of soup but looking forward to trying it the next time
Delicious Vegan... BLT with the bacon flavor done right (see bacon texture picture)! The marbled bread added a fresh flavor. Extensive menu, will edit/update the post if I can find time in my travels to stop by again! ;-) it's a priority.
Literally the best bagel place in Portland, period. Everything I've ordered from both locations has been incredible. Their lox sandwich is by far the most delicious vegan bagel sandwich ever. The staff are always super cool and nice and they enforce masks and good covid protocols, which I super appreciate. Worth every penny
INCREDIBLE vegan Jewish food. I had a bagel with lox, and it was PERFECT. Bagel was delicious, nice and thick with a soft interior and crispy exterior. Topping portions were generous and everything was stunning. Got so excited by how delicious it was that I forgot to take a picture. This place is absolutely a keeper and we plan to come back next week.Update: I wrote this review after the first time we went here about a month ago. We've been here three times since then and I think about their vegan lox bagel sandwich at least once a day.
Wow. The best vegan reuben I've eaten in Portland. Unfortunately no indoor seating right now now. But they at least got my order out pretty quick considering they were busy - about 20 minutes after I ordered online.
We went back for our second time today. Still 5 stars. Fast and very friend service at this location, too. We had the reuben and lox bagel and both were PHENOMENAL! To Stevie N. with the one star review, WHY did you go to a Jewish deli and get flippin HUMMUS bagels?!? Yes, they sell them, but that's not what they're popular for. Also, why bag on a place because YOU didn't do your research before going? Pshhhh. Ben & Esther's, y'all rock!! Thank you.
