Absolutely blown away by this place! Portland has been starving for a restaurant like this for years and years! I couldn’t believe that I can eat everything on the menu being gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free. The fried chicken sandwich was incredibly tasty and the bun was so soft! The cookies tho… BEST COOKIES EVERRRR!!! We can’t wait to come back and try everything on the menu!

Quality and taste of the food was amazing! I had the gluten free sweet potato acorn waffle. I was full half way through but it was so delicious I ate the whole thing:) will definitely be back as I want to try almost everything else on the menu!

As someone who’s a food connoisseur in Portland aswell as has health issues that limit my diet- this place has become a new favorite.Since discovering, I’ve gone 3 days in a row and tomorrow will be 4.Absolutely delicious and the kind of food that leaves your body feeling good.*chefs kiss* ?
Beautiful plant forward entrees. I had a pickled beet sandwich and they decorated it with edible flowers and micro-greens. My only complaint was the sandwich was too salty but still quite tasty. It was a good price for what I got.
So great to have another GF option in town. I ordered the avocado toast with smoked salmon added, and it came with a very large portion of salmon. Delicious. The bread used for the toast was so good, I bought a loaf for home. Can't wait to go back!

Wow! 15/10 this is the dreamiest most delicious wholesome cafe I’ve ever been to! I recently have had a lot of food allergies and this place is so easy to eat at. The food is not only delicious but so wholesome and good for your body! It’s prepared so thoughtfully. I’m from CO and travel half the year and I dream of this place! I will be stopping here every time I visit! Thank you thank you small business owners of Bastion for the thoughtfully curated food you make <3
